definitely “Children’s Story” – Slick Rick

  87. hendrix Says:

There were a lot of classic songs listed, and some are still my favorite songs today. Since I can only choose one, I would have to say “I’ll Be There For You/You’re All I Need To Get By (Puff Daddy Mixx)” – Method Man featuring Mary J. Blige (1995)

I was 15 years old, and just truly started to appreciate music around that time. I didn’t realize then of course, how big R&B and Hip Hop/Collaborations would become, and I believe this is one of those blueprint songs.

  88. xpressive designs Says:

How the hell can you just pick one. But that Onyx “Slam” was my ish in ‘93. I was in Basic Training in the Army. I had the whole platoon saying that hook for our motto. Everybody was feeling that, white boys, hillbillies, mexicans, a dude from Nigeria who could hardly say it right everybody in the platoon. Check out http://www.xpressivedesigns.biz for tshirts.

  89. Flex Says:

the gas face ! featuring a young MF doom when he was with KMD …classic

  90. Lamrock Says:

    6. “Time 4 Sum Aksion” – Redman (1992)

    song is off the hook

  91. Rich Says:

Favorite song is definitely “Paul Revere” by the Beastie Boys. This track was ingenious. Not only do I love the playful lyrics, but the beat was crazy. The beat if you listen closely sounds like a breakbeat or sample played backwards. Now how many rappers out there can do that? The closest recent song that came out that is even similar was Nas’s Song Rewind off the album Stillmatic. Even so that was not a backwards beat just a song rhymed backwards. Those songs alone should be enough for one to respect the creativity in the poetic license of Hip hop.

  92. karim Says:

    Jesus Walks – Kanye West

  93. 50 "SNITCH" CENT Says:
