Its interesting to c 50 Cent unite wit NY artists when he’s 1 of the reasons NY hip hop became so isolated & crumbled..Do u agree NY?? I wonder if this is a law in the 50th law of power book?? I guess it was a good show 4 NY.. But if u asked 50 a few years ago if he ever saw hisself on stage with any of them he woulda said HELL NO! At 50’s peak his grind was unmatched, image was bulletproof, music was ignorantly motivational & catchy, even classic. most never hav that. So dont think im takin shots at 50.. Jus that NY show had me a lil puzzled.. But i love NY so i couldnt knock it if i wanted to.
Does Fabolous have a point? Would 50 Cent reach out to NY artist if he was still on top like before? I mean takes price in his new book which makes it obvious every move he makes has a reason behind it.

Y’all is dumb. Fab did his thing by this comment, despite the fact that he would be the last person I would expect to make such a statement…..album promo, maybe? However, he did hit the nail on the head. 50 is a shell of his former self, and despite his overwhelming success, he’s humbling himself knowing that he has an album out in a month and with 3x push backs, two hot mixtapes that were admittedly hot but failed to reinvent himself artistically, and 2 Dre singles (Get It in and OK, OK) that are far from radio rotation and lack the it factor to push his album, and he very might well be looking at a flop. Now, flop meaning 300k+ (and thats pushin it), which by most artist standards is a success. But dropping from 10m to scracthin 1.5 is a colossal drop in a fanbase willingness to support an artist by any standard. Even though technically, he will scratch platinum, as platimum is symbolic of artistic success….the public perception will be that he was a fad and that with each album, his fanbase is withering. Check the G-Unit album? That flop was the start of his downfall. I ain’t a 50 hater, I actually commend how he bulldozed through a lot of these NY artists who always frontin they hard, but he started resorting to cartoons, caricatures and stuff that detracted from focus on the quality of the music, plus disrespecting real dudes that did it in the Game (Nas, Jada) for no real justifiable reason. Money doesn’t buy respect, and his image has been tarnished by a lot of ish. Now whether u would do that for 400m, which is a helluva comeup, that’s another argument. But he’s seeing the same people that he shitted on on the way up, and more than any artist’s in the game, everyone wants to see what his numbers do. For the heavyweights (Jay, Em, TI, Kanye) the units still move in a recession. So I don’t wanna hear that internet, recession talk. I’m just waitin……

What Fab spoke of is real. These rappers should be leary of homeboys motives. Unity was already there in New York. It was 50 who wasn’t united with most of the movement. Remember Rick Ross exposed 50. Don’t care if you call Rick Ross a fraud or not, he showed how 50 had no love in his own city. Rick had more love from NY Rappers than 50 ever had.
I’m sure he has this strategy written somewhere in his new book. It’s probably called, the law of how to feed off of others hype cuz I have none.

The illusion, is that these artist were reunited at this concert. That is false, none of these artist were against each other to have to be reunited. 50 is the the only artist who need to be reunited (LOX). Most of these cats had already shared the stage together. 50 needed a platform to show his star power, since he had no major appearances (Souljaboy set) on the summer jam circuits. Remember the album is coming.
I don’t believe he would reunite with guys who have industry power, cause then he doesnt have the brightest star. So he he picks the newcomers which makes himself, look like the big homey that extended the olive branch. If he was going to do something big then reunite with the true cats that you had a beef with, Nas, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Camron and then grab the other cats.

Fab was trying to make a point BUT he missed the boat completely. He’s looking at the concert as 50 doing it because he’s declining and he’s using them as a crutch. You use people as crutches when they are worth using and a man of people’s stature he can’t use those artists as crutches. They all knew that which is why they did it. As someone said he owed no one in New York a dime and those that put him on were not from New York so what did he care who he beefed with on his way to the top? He did what he had to do and accomplished what he had to accomplish and now that he’s situated as a megastar he can do all the things he feels he needs to do. You can criticize and overanalyze it all you want but what 50 did is not going to help him sell more records, it’s not going to help any of his businesses and this unity front is not going to buy him fans from the people who sell records.
