THE SONG IS ABOUT “ALL OF NEW YORK” NOT JUST HARLEM OR BROOKLYN.

This is what make me angry about people. Listen to the man. Jay has always said, “It’s about timing”. Why would or should he put a CD out when other artists are on top of the industry. At least he’s filming it in New York…not some fake Hollywood made up set in the background If the song was strictly about Brooklyn and he filmed it in Queens then I could understand the frustration. But the song is about New York. We haven’t seen the final product yet. Maybe they will include a Brooklyn scene (or all of the boros) too early to tell. We have to wait. People need to relax for real.

As far as this songe being a “rip-off” of Nas’s NY State of Mind from Illmatic, BULLSh1T!
1. The songs sound nothing alike.
2. Nowhere in the actual song does Jay or Alicia ever say the term “Empire State of Mind”; It’s just a title.
3. If anyone should be beefin’ at all, it’s Billy Joel. He recorded a song entitled “New York State of Mind” years before Nas. Sounds like Nas is the one “bitin’.”
