Hov is very legendary and iconic but could’nt have been as big as he is if he didnt go against nas. Its a well known fact that “in order to be the best you have to challenge the best” (nas – rule -stillmatic) so i applaud hov on his strategy to propel his career further by going at nas but everybody knows that nas won that feud. Hot 97 conducted a voting contest over the phone to decide on who had the better track and “ether” won.
the outcome on how the beef was concluded is regardless because both artists went on to put out good music so it was good for hip hop in the end because it didn’t end up like the pac and big feud. Can some one (NIGEL) please explain to me how Jay Z won the war.

Nas did win the battle, there’s no denying that Jay Z is the more successful rapper, but out when those cds dropped there was no doubt about it, that Jay definitely took the L in that battle, but don’t take away from his greatness, but he loss for sure

Dude Nas has been the same Lyrical MC sense illmatic. Never went commercial or hollywood. He had opportunities to do beer commercials and all but chose not to. Nas will always be better than Jay Z no matter how many arenas he sell out. Ni**a we don’t care about that! By the way, its time for u to climb that tall building kid. BP3 isn’t even better than Kingdom Come and we all know what a disaster that was.

Jay Z, Reasonable Doubt, Nas Illmatic. Can’t deny which one was better. Jay Z:Blueprint/ Nas: Stillmatic. U can argue either one but Nas has so much more to say, Jay just had hot producers. Jay Z:BP3/Nas:Untitled. Now must we debate that?! BP3 is awful. Think about it, the only classic album Jigga had is Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt but the ones in between were just duable albums but not perfected. Now a days Jay just says the same thing but differently and he adds hot producers. Nas has NEVER done that. You know how bad BP3 was to me? I bought it listened to it twice to get a feel of it, sucked so bad that I took it to FYE and bought Raekwon album.

Boi stop! Vol 2 Harnd knock Life is far from a classic. Black Album was dope but not a clssic and you’re waaaaaaaay in left field to say BP2 and BP3 r classics.
