Dame Dash Presents: The Blak Roc Project

Blakroc Project from Myrhax on Vimeo.

Looks like Dame is going in a different direction as far as Hip-Hop goes. I never thought I would see Dame doing collab’s with Mos Def, Q-Tip,Raekwon ect. Seems like it’s gonna be dope though.

Wow. Surprised by that jim jones verse. It seems like he definitely stepped up his pen game for this one.

Sounds like it’s gonna be dope.

Is it just me, or is hip hop moving forward and we’re actually focusing on the content and wanting something more than club songs. I can only hope so.

  2. pastor Says:

personally i really like its direction, it feels like a true passion and really we dnt know where it’ll end up but i have a good hunch it’ll be great.

  3. Dillon Says:

    Hope this thin lasts…

  7. yo Says:

HOT! this is the shit i like good music without any materialistic lyrics just from the soul um the last one to hate but jim jones dont even fit wit the mc ’s that were there his flow to commercial that nanananana shit wont rock wit this movement dash let jim jones be a part of this bc he cool wit the nigga should add nas but we know that wont happen how the hell you gone put mos def wit jim jones wtf thats like puttin jordan wit eric snow lmao

  9. Mann Says:

At first i was wondering what the fuck Dame was up to after reading the title…. but after seeing the video, this actually looks promising. Renewed inspiration, lets try to not repeat the faults that went wrong with hip hop on this one.

  12. Legend Says:

Am I the only person in the world who think Jim Jones is the worse rapper in the world? C’mon son!?!?!

  13. L-Y, NawfWestSide Says:

U SHOULD be the only person that thinkz Jim Jones is the worse rapper, cuz i can spend a whole day naming rapperz who are beneath Jim Jones in terms of rhyming and writing. Not saying he’s the best or on my top ten list, but as a lyricist myself i’ve heard some nice rhymes from Jim and the way niggaz bash the nigga when it comez to lyricism reflects in the way he feels about his own writing based on the comments he’s made about his pen game. The nigga ain’t nevah been garbage in my book. Ya’LL niggaz iz some follow the lead ass niggaz. It’s a trend to shit on Jim Jone’s muzik, when there a million and one worse rapperz in the game spittin’ garbage eyretime they hop on the mic. P.e.a.c.e. to Dame Dash and Mighty Mos – one-hunned – written by an emcee that will bury any of u niggaz Lyrikally and i put my MIC on that – myspace.com/Lyrik07 -

  28. qdot(takeoverseason) Says:

I always said with out jay and dame as a team it would be no roc but i must admit i am glad to see dame in the music biz,I love shit like this not the norm and its really creative.

  29. King Says:

As much I want to like this…I must admit is ok…but anything with Dame and Jim Jones…anyone with human commmon sense knows that is going to be a disaster waiting to happen…wish them the best…

NOT INTERESTED. THOSE WHITE DUDES JUST WANT TO GAIN ADDITIONAL EXPOSURE. IF SAYKANYE OR JAY WOULD WANT TO WORK WITH THEM AS OPPOSE TO JIM JONES AND DAME..BELIEVE THEY WOULD BE IN THE STUDIO IN A HEAR BEAT…DAME IS OLD AND REACHING.

  30. King Says:

FOR THE SAKE OF MUSIC…..JIM JONES NEEDS TO BE OUT OF THAT GROUP…THE GUY IS NOT TALENTED MUSICALLY…AT ALL. GET SOME TALENTED PEOPLE TO WORK WITH YOU DAME.

    THANKS.

  31. crackadon Says:

i thought this was gonna be a garage rock/rap disaster, but it looks very promising. everyone seems to be inspired and on point. actually looking forward to this.

(on a side note, i bet not one person on here had ever heard of the Black Keys prior to this. step out of your comfort zone, people!! there’s other music in the world besides our beloved Hip-Hop!!)
