Affion Crockett’s Kanye West/Jay-Z Taylor Swift Apology Parody
Representatives from “The View” say West called the country sensation after her appearance on Tuesday’s show. During the broadcast, the 19-year-old singer said West had yet to contact her to apologize for hijacking her acceptance speech on the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. After Swift’s comments, West called her and the two spoke, according to a statement from “The View.”She has accepted Mr. West’s apology. The contents of the phone call are to remain private,” it read.

I know this is off of the subject, but…
Why does country music sell the most records world-wide, but hip hop has a stronger voice for the people?
Anyone who listens to both care to elaborate? Is it because of the topics each choose to talk about? Is it because the country fans actually go out and support their artist and don’t illegally download their artist’s music?

SOME 2008 CHARTS ACTUALLY SHOW R&B FOLLOWED BY ROCK MUSIC. THE INFORMATION IS INCONCLUSIVE FOR 2009.

Rap & Hip-Hop seems look it should outsell country, but the main problems are bootlegging, conflict and oversaturation of one-hit wonders. Think about it….
Only a handful of rappers have been able to sell well and have longevity, but most of the people who hold spots on the charts (and the streets) don’t last long. So yes, some of it I think is in the content of the songs sung. Popular rap is quite one-dimensional imo. So in all actuality, Rap sales are cushioned by the Soulja Boys, Crank That songs, and such? You see where I’m going? Plus, other rap styles don’t really sell….at all sadly.
There is too much of a divide in the rap community, so many potential monies that an be made are lost due to beef, selfishness, and just plain ignorance in some people.
Yet, if everything was done in the legal sense however, Rap/Hip-hop would be killing it, yet it’s tied w/ country. Rock is actually dominant – probably due to the diversity in it. I study this stuff, and this is how sales break down (since people like numbers)….
Rock – 33%
R&B – 12% (including Reggae, Blues, Motown, Funk, Disco, and all other “Urban” music)
Rap/Hip-Hop – 11%
Country – 11%
All other Genres (Electronica, Techno, Jazz) – 22%

As the saying goes, numbers don’t lie. So….yeah. Carry on.

Rap would never kill country, cuz probability rules. If everyone were to buy real copies, there are more white people, so like you said numbers don’t lie.
Everybody downloads, but since there is more white people, sales are greater for white cds
