  6. rod sinatra Says:

So what no matter how you slice it empire state of mind is better than any ohter anthem that ny has ever had real talk! And the song nas did with alicia on god son was not an anthem it was a good song tho but youngs one of one bitch and don’t you forget it

  7. flatbush34st Says:

nas is a real dude….he isn’t looking 4 any attention like half of these artist

  8. Ace Says:

Shit that hov alicia joint is really an athem. Niggaz not from ny feel that they are apart of that song and thats crazy. Im from philly and we don’t fuck wit nobody and niggaz be blasting that song like they in NY thats when u know ya shit is an athem.

  10. pastor Says:

jay-z paid some nigga to fuck his baby moms then used his freemason influence to fuck up his album sales. duh!

  11. Backlash Says:

nas my nigga ! …this nigga definitely gotta be on the remix of empire state of mind , i thought he was on the original, but i guess not …and i thought he woulda been on that ob4cl2 also ..anyways ..he sound sick as hell ..lol

  12. TBZ Says:

This nigga Nas is a certified weirdo. I mean c’mon. I know Hov bit the song idea from Nas and that Nas already did an NY anthem with A Keys but wtf does Nas seem so uncomfortable by the question. He knows damn well that aint the 1st time he heard what ppl were saying about him being a no show. I fux wit Nas 4ever but his personal persona is more questionable the older he gets. I know a weirdo when I see one.

Niggas say Andre 3000 and Cudi are weirdos. They never behave like that @ interviews. Dude got a chemical imbalance or some medical condition.

…The naked Kelis on his arm says it all…

  13. King Says:

When was Nas’s last #1 album? Just curious.

  14. King is a Jayz cockrider Says:

Untitled was his last #1 album bitch!!! Hiphop is dead was the last one before that. Get off Jay’s dick!

  15. veraci0us Says:

    ^^^ 2009.. So whats ur point?lol

  16. scorpio Says:

So what since Nas made a song about NY Jay can’t do it (and do it BETTER IMO)? GTFOH! I wonder if 50, LL, Fab, Juelz or one of those dudes made a NY song if y’all would be bitching.

  17. B! Says:

Nas stilll doesnt like doing interviews…thtss all!..and tht OBFCL2 is the truth for real g!

  18. de la erick Says:

    jayz go hard
    but nas go harder! g.o.a.t
    hands down

  19. meok Says:

people never consider that with his divorce, and working on distant relatives album that maybe he just didnt have the time to do bp3 or ob4ql. Maybe he didnt want to, maybe he just wanted to focus on his own shit. He gave props to both albums. As fans we are disappointed that he didnt do either, but shit, get off his back. Nas top 5 dead or alive!!!!!

  20. Can IT! Says:

Nas iz that dude straight up! However, I think he srewed himself years back after he sonned Jay z and immidiently after that went on 106 to say he was “retiring”. He should have never fell back and GAVE JAY Z his top spot, otherwise Jay would have been phased out long time ago!

  21. Can IT! Says:

but then again thats how jay gets down (waits for his competion to disapear, than thats when he makes a return) First Pac, then Nas. Jay truly moves like a snake in the grass.

  22. ANNAHILATOR Says:

I bet you Nas regrets not dropping a verse on empire state of mind. He probably thought people were gonna say the song was wack and turned out to be a hit. This song would have put nas back on the radar. If you think about it NAS is really remember for ether…. Nothing else. But illmatic was a genre changing album. especially for the east coast. after him ur pen game had to be swine flu…..Illmatic was his best album. to date. ether was tuff but not career damaging… look at cannibus and ll 2nd round knock was crazy but it was ll that remains to this day….

  23. ANNAHILATOR Says:

tHE FUNNY THING IS THAT IF ANY OFF YOU HERE SEE JAY-Z YALL WILL PROBABLY GET ALL NERVOUS AND STAR STRUCK…….i’VE SEEN THIS DUDE A COUPLE TIMES IN THE CITY LIKE IN RESTAURANT AND HE COOL HE WILL SAY WASSUP….

  24. scorpio Says:

And who the hell told Nas to “retire” when he did, wasn’t Jay already in the game before he did that ish?! STFU you make absolutely no sense, so according to your theory Jay knew that both Big and Pac would die when they did so he was just waiting to BLOW UP! LMFAO!

  25. scorpio Says:

And if your mother had insisted that your father wore a condom your ass wouldn’t be here now, so what’s your point exactly?

  26. King Says:

I believe ultimately…Nas is dope…but he fears Jay-Z on the mic…cause he can’t consistently come up with rhymes that would out rhyme or outflow Jay-Z on a track…that is why Jay-Z was always challenging Nas back in that battle…like let’s do ppv battle or what ever he said…deep down Jay-Z probably had a stash of facts about Nas…I believe Nas didn’t want to put him self in such an ominous position….lol hence he signed with Def Jam…Although…I must admit…Nas may not be there musically with Jay…but lyrically he gets in that ass….and Jay-Z knows it.

Btw – Illmatic to this day…is Nas best work, Stillmatic second. Next is like I don’t care. Illmatic will be one of hip hops top 5 albums even in the year 3000…lol..along with the Rakim and Eric B. paid in full…I believe those albums really shifted hip hop in a way…

    in no particular order:
    Illmatic – Nas
Paid in full – Eric B./Rakim
    Doggy style – Snoop Dogg
    OBFCL (I) – Raekwon
    Chronic I – Dr. Dre
    Reasonable Doubt – Jay-Z
    BluePrint I – Jay-Z

As far as hip hop…those albums were monumental…at least to me.

  27. King Says:

^^ notice I said albums…..like entire albums….like I can listen to those and their entirety
