another problem with fiddy is that he rarely n barely collabs with other hot artists, that’s why his music always seems the same. most of that is his fault cuz he beefs with everyone so nobody wants to fuck with him but i mean look at jay-z. hov has drake, j. cole, kanye, pharrell, kid cudi, n mr hudson on his album. thats FRESH collabs, ppl wanna hear dat shit. jay sounds different on every album, kanye sounds different on every album, 50 puts the SAME shit out all the time. eminem is now having that same problem where even tho i felt relapse was a solid album, it jus sounds like shit he’s already done before, hence the album has pretty much disappeared. 50 needs fresh new collabs with artists that are HOT RIGHT NOW i mean 50 will have banks n yayo on his album, NOBODY wants to hear a yayo verse SMH LOL. the only real collab he ever did was with JT and that record actually didnt blow up which is quite sad cuz futuresex/lovesounds was a HUGE record when it dropped and it should’ve helped 50 beat kanye.

No one out here is talkin about that 50 album. I guess its cause we all know it will sound the same as all of his previous albums. I really want to be a die hard 50 fan, the problem is that he, like most rappers looks at music as if its some hustle. There is no soul to the music. No depth behind his lyrics to make you say, “Damn Im really feelin what he just said”. I know he has it in him, he is just lazy lyrically. Much respect to him as a business man, but as an MC, he lacks creativity.

I have to co-sign my mans #8 statement on this…. and I’ve download’d and listen to War Angel and Forever King, they still on rotation on my iPod, that is a good point. That’s why on the grand scale of music, rap will never be anything, too much beef’n and battling for artists to move outside the genre. In other music genre’s, artists collabo all the time. Rap has too much negativity with it for other brand’s and media outlets to want to be associated with it. Although they might make some money within the small group of people that listen to rap music, they’d lose money on a large scale by the from the majority of people that don’t… SMARTEN UP PEOPLE!!!

I agree the hype around 50 isn’t there anymore. 50 been in the game for a long time now, he was hungry and spit fire as early as in the mid 90s. He managed to make it big in 2003 with Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and after that he became a superstar. But now it seems like he’s career is going downhill. It’s difficult to stay on top. Regardless how much longer he’ll be relevant 50 had a damn good career. Most artists will never reach his success as an artist so more power to him.

I like 50, (GRODT, Power of the Dollor 50 that is), but I’m not really interested in his album. But then again, there’s not really any albums I’m interested in or looking forward to (except for that Lupe and that Chamillionaire.)

Most rappers that have blown up will eventually get hated on. Em is the biggest selling rapper in the game, Wheezy was ridiculously huge two years ago, jay z is considered a legend by many, kanye was huge, Game was the West Coast savior, they all have a lot of haters now. As a 100% fan of The Unit I can even agree that nobdy outside of his fanbase is really checking for 50 right now, mainly because he’s fail to make callabos’. to #8 OLA and everyone that is co-signing… POINT 1: The reason 50 doesn’t collab with other artists is NOT because he has beef with everyone. Its because that is a SELLOUT move. Arists feel the pressure from their record label so they do anything just to make sure the album doesn’t get shelved and is respectable for the mainstream. (Loso’s Way by Fabolous is a good example of that).
POINT 2: 50 doesn’t sound the same on every album! are you serious??? so you mean to tell me 50 sounds the same way on Curtis that he did on Get Rich or Die Tryin’? and also with Eminem, you can’t tell me that you don’t hear that new accent in all his recent music, definitely doesn’t sound the same.

POINT 1: like i SAID. it is a sellout move to go from street to make shit that mainstream likes to sell records. exactly why artists like Papoose, Saigon, J.R. Writer, the whole Slaughterhouse, Styles p, etc. don’t have the fame the matches with their talent.
