There are actually many great artists in many mediums, who are just not good at the whole media/interview thing. They strictly have their element that they feel comfortable in and thats when they shine and away from that, they feel out of place and would rather be on stage, in the studio, painting, behind the camera.. etc. etc.

Public Speaking is a lot different than performing an art that you are passionate about. It takes a lot out of people. It doesn’t necessarily make you stupid, just something you are not good at.

You have to read between the lines if you come from the life that Jay has. We know what the pauses mean but white ppl don’t. #1 you’re a dumbass. jay’s interview personality is almost “picking” at the naive interviewer cuz they have no idea what he has done in his life outside of music. So when they ask questions that may question his street cred he’s not going to go int it cuz they would never understand. That’s when the pauses and facial expressions come into play. That’s when we have to fill in the blanks. Learn to enjoy the interview and stop being so critical. I bet #1 has no street knowledge what so ever. Lame ass!!!
