Auto Tune is an effect applied to vocals to keep them on key, but to get the full Auto-Tune effect like T-Pain you have to try and sing poorly. It is an effect you add to vocals. Why would someone be on here trying to say Auto-Tune is not an Effect it’s a program. That is plain ignorant. Auto Tune is an effect applied to vocals to keep them on key, but to get the full Auto-Tune effect like T-Pain you have to try and sing poorly. It is an effect you add to vocals. You can purchase a prog. that does this but that does not mean auto tune is not a program. You can do it in Reason 4.0 if you know what you are doing. Reason is a program.
