Jay-Z Met With Oprah For An O Magazine Interview, Won’t Be On The Oprah Show SMH
The interview is pretty boring so I wouldn’t bother listening to it, she starts talking about Jay-Z at 5:15. My question is why can’t Jay-Z get on the Oprah show?

Does not necessarily have to be anything on O’s end. Maybe Jay just doesn’t have time to fit her in his schedule. Maybe he doesn’t even want to do the show. There are probably 279 reasons.

oprah still hates rap but hopefully jay opened her mind 2 it just a little. the way jay puts words 2gether is better than any poet. jay-z is a real ambassador for hip hop. whether his headlining Glastonbury, meeting with the UN to bring water to africa, talking to david letterman, or talking some sense into Oprah he always reps hip hop better than any1 else. could u imagine DMX talking to oprah, Lil wayne meeting with the UN or Kanye running the biggest rap label in history? those guys are great but the way jay carries himself lets u no that he no’s that he’s representing more than just himself. im proud that greatest artist of my generation is a hip hop artist.

Yes I remember her being hated for her support for Obama but to say she has no choice in the matter is stupid.
I think she has to explain a few things, like how come Ludacris was ambushed for his lyrics, also by Sandra Bullock, when he was there to talk about his movie.
Or it could be that she just doesn’t like hip hop.
The only way Jay makes it on that coach is as security for Beyonce.

Come on; why do you all want Oprah to “acknowledge” Hip Hop or these rappers? She is a middle aged woman who did not grow up in that culture. Why would she embrace a culture that wants to Superman that ho or that glorifies killing, raping and murdering or one that does the stanky leg? How silly would it sound if she embraced that. True, Luda is a more complete person than she gives him credit for, BUT he DOES speak loads of misogyny. Yes, I thoroughly understand that there are people in Hip Hop who are more positive and represent “real” Hip Hop, however, Oprah wouldn’t know them because its the negativity that gets pushed. Oprah does not have the time to sift through what’s “good”.

thats the problem with the black community so eager to speak on money cause they never had yet they support an artist who can care less about them lets ask what has jay z done in your community but yet you speand money on his albums but wont put that 14 dollars into your kids education fund SMH than we neglect to support people who are working in the community to help our youth so that they can be successful
