One thing they forgot to mention is that the 400+ years of slavery follow by almost a hundred years of years Jim Crow put white folks so far ahead of minorities that most of us don’t have resources to the Grade A education/ and jobs that they do. The country is obviously still segregated, now it is more along the lines of economics. And the wealth passed down through generations of slave masters has obviously helped white culture out. That is a large reason that programs such as Affirmative Action are needed. Only a bigot like Pat Buchanan would disagree and that shows you the kind of people who are at the top. MSNBC let one of their head racist actually voice his personal opinions on tv- it’s disgusting. That’s just one more reason to stop acting like a COON!!!

Hon. Sonia Sotomayor came form the bronx. ,a single working mother not a rich background, nor did they have the ammenities other justices had when growing up. she stayed focus and believed she can make it and she did. The is the american dream. Now who better to be the next Judge in the higher court. Well she grew up it was poverty hispanic family, and black families. Thats what was around her. She understands the struggle the problem the concerns that we minorities are facing and been facing for the longest of time. We should be happy we have a president such as Barack Obama who saw her intelect determination and drive and is what he knows would be best for the highest court and future for this country. We all make bad judgements and that is what makes us human. But we cannot or should not dismiss someone for there past judgements but for what they represent now.
