I don’t condone beating women, but I accept the apology. The man seems contrite and to be honest, nobody REALLY knows what went down. However, it is clear to everyone Chris was at fault and although what he did was fucked up, I can forgive a man for making a really really big mistake. I wish Chris and Rihanna the very best….

Even though I would have liked to have had a more honest and heartfelt apology instead of reading a teleprompter. I can admit it took a lot for him to stand up and say he was wrong. I believe it was sincere… He wrote it, it probably was longer, but I’m sure his attorney edit it. Chris has done interviews in the past and is pretty intelligent. He hit it on the money, look forward to him working with different charities for domestic violence.
I’ve been except his apology no one is perfect, not even me and I am not famous. I have always wished him well.
Michael Phelps got a second chance, R kelly got a second chance, Bobby Brown got a second chance, know rap artist with a history of drug dealing including Jay z got a second chance, Kanye and his disrepsectful attitude and actions got a secon chance. Heck TI won an award in Jail

Times have changed so much to point that people have forgotten the basics. whether your dating, married or just friends you should respect a person space. If you disagree with what someone is doing or saying then you have a right to walk away or say I’m not going to put up with how you do things, not put your hands on someone or even provoke them. Some women nowadays seem to want to put hands on a brother because of an unwanted action, for example: You know Rihanna grab that phone and pop his ass a good one, and in return Chris felt as if she violated him, which sparked him to loose control like he did. Chris seen his mother get violated all the time and he said to himself that he was not going to let anyone do him the same way. Some of y’all are probably like what ever, but If any of you attended college and has taken psychology courses, then you would know about the theories of why this could have happen. I’m not taken up for Chris and what he did was wrong. We as black people act like we have no ethics on how to carry ourselves in a professional manner. A lot of abusive relationships can be avoided, if you take the time to build a friendship and getting to know each other longer than a year. You yourself know that when you meet someone and start to date that your on your best behavior, then once that comfort zone is gone your true self starts to come out and only then do you start to really know someone.

people are sooo immature and trifling… true chris brown doesn’t owe us an apology but by him being celebrity, his actions do somehow trickle down and affect the public. many of his fans may have direct or indirect exposure to domestic violence and therefore his actions really hurt them.
now for the fans that are jumping to his defense by attacking rihanna, they must have no real experience with domestic abuse or they must just be really young or just plain ignorant because she IS the victim. he put a thrashing on her and that was way too excessive. i’ve never once heard him or anyone that represents her state that rihanna beat him first and he retaliated. they released information from the police report and even there it DOES NOT state that she hit him first and he was protecting himself.

CB does not pay my bills and does no owe me nor my kids and apology, he owes God and Rhianna period point blank. Trust me he has a lot of fans in Chicago, IL a couple of radio stations had forgives as a topic today and this was the subject matter the Chris and Rhianna situation. A lot of callers said forgivenes is the answer, he’s young and deserves a second chanc. I agree well actually my children and I never stop supporting him. This was a teachable moment in our houselhold just like a lot of incindents in their schools, or other relatives home, even our home. No one is perfect and the Celebrities are not considered role models in our home only Jesus is our role model. CB, nor Rhianna are Role models their people like us all and they make mistakes, they entertain, that is their job.
Chris sounded sincere to me, I’m sure he probably wrote an apology himself, but his counsel must have tweek it, that’s what it sounds like. Can’t wait until he does another concert for my kids and niece. He’s a great performer and singer andworks really hard. I’m sure like he said he wish he could have handled the situation differently, also my opinion I think Rhianna should address the matter too, I’m sure CB just pleaded guilty so all of this could go away. Sometimes rather one is right or wrong humility is the best option. This indeed is a learning experience for him and us all. No one should juge, life goes on….

Funny I was wondering what was up with the shirt too. But honestly I think this was a Michael Jackson look.. Remember MJ did an apology wearing looks like the same color shirt CB has on? Chris apologized whether he read his apology or not. He is an experienced music writer who have won an award for writing musice, so there is no doubt he can write his feelings in an apology note. So what he read from a teleprompter, Obama has been speaking from a telepromter since he started his run for president and on to the White House. Everytime Obama speak there is a teleprompter. Chris did not have to apologize again to you ungrateful people. His real fans accepted his apology long time ago.
For those of you who think Rihanna was not the aggressor in the fight, go to TMZ site and lookup Rihanna or Chris Brown and locate the police report. Oh My you can’t please anyone. he has apologized, now what!!!! Come on people have forgiveness for goodness sake… He has pleaded guilty to something I’m sure he did not initiate, don’t make it right for his actions or hers, things escalated beyond their control, Chris and Rhi are both young and have a lot of maturing to do. Chris made a mistake among many out of his whole life and just like with any mistake, you apologize. I think this experience has changed Chris Brown for the better. I’m not saying I would trust him as a boyfriend, but as a singer and artist I would. He has always made amazing music. I’ve been a fan and always will be a fan. I forgive you for making a mistake and so should all the people in this world who forget that they aren’t perfect! I don’t approve of you putting your hands on a female, but a mistake is a mistake.
