Update On The Nas & Kelis Drama
Kelis claims Nas raked in $11 million for his album deal. Nas fired back in legal papers, “I did not receive even half that amount”… claiming it’s more like $4 mil. Nas claims his income is declining, and he’s only pulling in $147,165 a month.
Nas thinks $5,000 a month is reasonable for child support since the kid will just be a newborn.

Something still tells me that when it’s all said and done, they’ll cancel the divorce and make it work/go into counseling (At least for the kid’s sake!)
I still remember last year when Shaq and his wife went through similar drama (equally vicious), yet in the end they canceled the divorce, got back together, and are still happy to this day!

first of all my sympathy goes out to nas I offer you my prayers in this tumultuous time. I feel like how dare wifey put u through this publicly but it is what it is and im praying for a divine touch on of forgiveness on her as well. my nigga marrige is for better or worse, many of our marriges dont last because young people dont have the coping skills to handle rough times, many in our community get hooked up b4 understanding the ups and downs that seperate boyfriend/girlfriend from husband/wife. Nas I cosign # 5 do your damndest to try and resolve your union wheather it be counseling, any type of outside intervention that shows you are dedicated to your marrige and fixing it. marrige is alot of work and should not be thrown away on a wim, that is why more than 50% of our people divorce because they dont realy have the know how and their just not plain ready to, once something distasteful occurs its divorce time. They were so many different alligatioos as to why they split, I really do not know who to believe. Although, Kelis seems to act like a bratty little girl..oh well. Hope they work it out, her wedding dress was cute

he makin more than that, lawyers smart enough to hide his money assets. thats what rich people do, hide their true wealth so they dont lose it to wifey. he probably got a lot of his money tied in his daughter name, so kelis can get or touch that. I know hes far from diddy, jay or 50 money wise, but regardless he still the best rapper out there, and hes smart enough not to give up too much to kelis. Regardless of why they are gettin divorced, its fucked up to make it a public spectacle. Kelis show more class than that.
