Kanye’s verse definitely outshone Hov’s. I Like Hov better than Kanye obviously.

After a couple of listens it’s safe to say that Jay has another hit on his hands. This is easily a hit because you have the most talked about (although not for musical reasons) female artist in music singing your chorus, one of the most controversial rappers around and you have a sure hit. And it helps that it’s catchy as hell especially the chorus.

I said this track was mediocre earlier, but after listening to it and deciphering all of HOV’s subliminals, I gotta take that ish back! This track is utterly ridiculous! Hovi came with the fire! This track went over my head at first, till I had time to actually listen to what he was saying word for word. His cleverness and wittiness is untouchable!
The movie Public Enemy with John Dillinger about them running they city explains it all. Then, how he pays homage to Eric B and Rakim, his double entandres and wordplay…damn, damn, damn!!! Also what people don’t seem to realize is that you don’t have you use super hidden meanings in your raps to be deep. You can be deep with simple punchlines too. All I’m saying is that most of you guys are talking about these lines being too deep but i bet most of you hated kingdom come when it came out. It’s like jay-z is trying super hard to be super deep to prove a point when he doesn’t have to. Just because kanye didn’t do what jay did doesn’t make him stupid or means he’s dumbing down his music.
