Why would I like to see Jay-Z in concert? Because I don’t want to be stuck next to The Game when he’s kicking dirt in the parking lot.

He Revolutionized The Rap Industry. Came From The Streets, Used His Growing Pains 2 Make Music That Relate To People. As A Fan You’ve Seen Jay-Z Evolve From Just An Ordinary Rapper To An Extraordinary Businessman. His Thought Process On His Marketing Deals & Artistry Shows That This Man Is Not Only The Most Talented At What He Does, But Also The Most Gifted At What He Did When Nobody Else Was Doing It. I Wanna Be Live For Such A Event & If I Win My Admiration For Sean Carter (Jay-Z) Would Only Grow More

i’ve never sold crack or shot any1 but i really feel what hov talks about. he shares his real emotions. even if u cant relate 2 selling drugs every1 has had 2 deal with “regrets” or “d’evils” of their life. he shares real human emotions that every1 experiences and makes u feel him and that makes him stick out from all the other rappers that claim they kill people and dont feel bad about it. i also enjoyed watching his growth. i remember sitting at the bus stop when i was in jr high listing 2 money cash hoes when it first came out than driving 2 high school bumping girls girls girls and than hearing excuse me miss 4 the first time. u watched him get progressively less vulgar and grow up before us but even when he was vulgar he was just being honest. honesty has been the common theme throughout all of his albums. it didnt matter if he was talking about drugs or beach-chairs. he kept it 100 every album. i know all the words 2 all of his songs better than he does even the shit before reasonable doubt. ive got all of his unreleased songs, sound track songs, camios, etc… one of my favorite songs by hov is a song that came out in 1993 called “understand me”. i wanted to c hov more than anything when he came 2 North Carolina last year on the heart of the city tour with mary but these tuition payments are kicking my ass. i used 2 catch hell from my friends back in the day 4 saying that hov is better than big and pac but as time progressed more people start 2 realize that he really is the GOAT. i like to think i new that before most people. not only is he the best rapper alive, in my opinion he is the greatest artist (in any genre of music) of my generation, not to mention his flow is stupidly ill. i need 2 c hov in concert….

Im 39yrs old, (Old Dude) as the Jay-z haters might call me and have seen hiphop from its start till this point in its History and know that Jay is the best that ever did it and got away with it. Never seen him live before but own all his his music. Plus my B-Day was 7/27 and would be a great belated gift since you all are in the giving mood!

Jay-Z is the best. he revolutionized rap music: from sampling Annie to collaborations with alt rock artists Chris Martin and MGMT, he has paved the way for rap music’s innovation. “If I wasn’t me, I’d probably jock me, too!”

I would love to watch Jay Z live for free because this opportunity has not presented itself where I live. I’m from Seattle, WA and Jay Z has not toured here since the Hard Knock Life Tour back in the day. I was a little younger at that time and didn’t get to go and I’ve always regreted it since he’s never returned. Besides that, Jay Z is my favorite artist across all genres of music and I’ve been listening/supporting him for years now. I know that sounds cliche, but I truly think Jay Z is one of the few living legends of our time and is great at his craft. It would be great to watch Jay Z live at the All Points West Festival – he’s the God MC!!! Also, I’d be happy to provide a write up w/ pictures of my experience and share it with the Real Talk NY community.
Thanks!

I learn when I see live shows and I want to perform songs to record an album…
I am a hip hop student and I want to record records for my unborn child teaching him/her all the things he/she needs to be a man/woman…
I study all the greats to be able to construct the ultimate teaching tool for him/her…
A song recorded by her/his superhero DAD!

Jay-z’s music has been the BLUE PRINT to my life. He is who I strive to be; against all odds he climbed to the top, exampling the classic story of the rags of a RENEGADE to reaching complete TAKEOVER, which is truly inspirational. Ever since I could actually comprehend his hidden intricate lyrics my respect for his talent has NEVER CHANGEd, unlike the people I see daily on the blogs showing hatred towards H.O.V.A, which could possibly at this very minute be stirring up a comment contradicting themselves just for free tickets which I could somewhat understand knowing that JIGGA’S THAT NIGGA. As well as living legend but that’s the kind of effect Jay has on people but even more with a true fan like myself. My ipod is filled with every track put out by jay-z and that’s simply ALL I NEED to get by in the music category, it is like my oasis. His diverse music can make me dance, relax, motivated, strong, smarter and some SONG’s, CRY. Jay has immensely influenced my life in so many ways from overcoming obstacles to writing essays which has been a while until this very one im writing right now lol. This opportunity to see jay in concert would truly be a amazing experience to vividly soak in the concert especially since THE RULERS BACK for BP3! And of course the GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS that will part take in the festivities. So hopefully I can say HOLA HOVITO when I role up with oldest brother who will be visiting home from the United States Army on Thursday before he gets shipped out to serve in Afghanistan. So if given this opportunity it would truly be a great memory to remember with him before he departs as well as possibly temporarily soothing him with the sober sounds of hov! from his mission he will soon be part of. Well this is just a ballad of a true fan and there AINT NO LOVE greater than mines for jay-z and for those that will read this and hate..if YOU DON’T KNOW me you don’t exists to me, so pooof son of a bitchh.
This is WHY.
what more can i say.

I should go see Jay-z for free cuz if he asked me to, I would slap Jim Jones, The Game and DJ Whoo Kid. Besides that, I’m from Brooklyn. What’s up son?
July 28th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
At the end of the day, Jay IS gettin’ older..but he’s still makin’ hits like the 2 new songs, and has numerous classics to really rock a show. I’m from Bed-Stuy, know all his lyrics and have never seen him perform. I personally would also like to see him rock in Jersey, with a more open and diverse tri-state crowd; rather than just somewhere in NYC like MSG. Thanx….
July 28th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
I think i should be choosen to see Jay-Z this Friday because the man helped change the way rappers are looked at in the media and the world as a whole. He is a role model for all, that has shown juss because you came into something one way doesn’t mean it will be your only outlet to become successful.I have all his music from hawaiian sophie with former “mentor” jaz-o to his latest work run this town featuring his “protege” rihanna and in all honesty it would juss be a blessing to see the man who rewrote history without a pen.
July 28th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
I would love to see Jay in concert. The dude is absolutely phenomenal live. I only got to see him for half of a show one time because I had to leave early cause the person I was with was sick. But Jay is just inspirational to me. I don’t rap. I don’t make music. But his hustle, his swag, his love for what he does is something that is just so inspirational and something I can totally relate and look up to. Obnce and one I could always remember.

I would like to attend the concert for free because the experience alone can be a motivational & inspirational thing for me to strive to get my life in order & make something of myself. I never aspired to be a drug dealer or anything mischievous. Listening to all Jay-Z albums you can tell he grew with time. There was no need to talk about ignorant shit anymore. He grew with every album & so did I. I want to be a successful music producer in the near future & I know by being there it would definitely would benefit me to strive to work harder & grind because one day I could do the same thing for the very person/s watching me.
July 29th, 2009 at 1:09 am
Why should I attend the concert? I don’t think anyone will ever understand how much I idolize Jay-z. Over the years I’ve come to understand his music even more so than when I was a little girl… His music would blast through my older brothers’ stereo and that’s where it began…I saw how my brothers would react to this man and it made me think? If one could think so highly of a person and has never met them but has only come in contact with their art then this person must be special…Sure I am a fan of his music but I’m an admirer of his fight to succeed despite his struggles…His music has gotten me through my worst days and has uplifted me even more on my good ones.. I’ve never seen him in concert before and Not even in person…unfortunetly the closest I’ve ever came to him is his voice through my headphones and the sight of him on my tv screen..Now at the age of 19 I still hope and dream to hear him live…If I were able to attend the feeling would be indescribable!

I REALLY ADMIRE HOVE. HE SPITS THAT FIRE HOTTER THAN A STOVE. HE’S DEFINATELY CONTROLLING THE GAME, HE CAN DISS YOU WITHOUT SAYIN YA NAME. HUSTLIN WAS HIS CLAIM TO FAME. HIS OLD PARTNAS WAS KAREEM N DAME. ITS NOW ROC NATION, IN A WHOLE NEW LANE. ME, NOT BEING AT THAT CONCERT WOULD BE A LOW DOWN DIRTY SHAME. ICE BERG SLIM, J HOVA, HOVE, JIGGA-MAN, JUST THE FACTS, JAY Z, NO MATTER WHAT THE NAME, I LOVE THEM THE SAME.
July 29th, 2009 at 1:40 am
I STILL RIDE AROUND IN MY CAR PLAYING HIS FREESTYLES LIKE THEY R BRAND NEW. MY IPOD IS DOMINATED BY ALL OF HIS ALBUMS, COLLAB, AND FREESTYLES. AND WHEN THEM HATIN DJS FROM POWER 99 FM IN PHILLY STOP PLAYING HIS MUSIC, U COULD STILL HEAR ME PLAYING IT. UNCLE O HATES HOVE AND ALWAYS GIVE OUT HATEFUL MISINFORMATION ABOUT HIM. I ALWAYS CALL THE RADIO STATION AND CORRECT HIM BUT HE NEVER PLAYS MY CORRECTION BUT HE TALKS TO ME.

I think i should see jay-z for free because he is my idol and i never got a chance to see him.The closest i got to seeing him was during the best of both worlds tour, my girlfriend got me tickets because she knew how much it meant for me to see him perform live, however my manager decided to schedule me to work on the day of the concert and i had already told her i needed the day off and she told me i had to work and if i called out of work i would be fired, so i had to work and i couldnt go to the show.Furthermore, it would be a great graduation present.

I would like to be the chosen one to see Jay-Z because for 1, I want to work him. 2, that was my only birthday wish for my 17th birthday. He came to my city, but I was not allowed to go see my idol because my father said it would be too dangerous. Teague_Noelle@yahoo.com

Because I’m a broke ass college student who is spending my summer in NYC working 2 unpaid internships. I’m learning, networking, and experiencing a lot but it’s hard to make it through every week with out a steady income. I’m living off of money I had saved up from working during the school year and that just goes towards rent and groceries. This would be dope way for me to cap my summer off by seeing my favorite rapper Jay-Z perform – whom I’ve never seen before. Hook it up Nigel – been a fan of the site since ‘06.

I must go see Jay-Z because he makes me want to be a better person, and hold myself to a higher standard. Listening to Jay’s music makes me grab an encylclopedia, one that spans culture, slang, foreign languages, history, the Bible and philosophy. His music has helped me developed as a black male, and tear down the barriers in my life. Seeing Jay-Z will reinforce the path I want to walk, and the goals I am about to claim.
