i usually agree with you and County on most things but I’ma ride with County. When Jay uses a Biggie line i don’t see any problem with that. Every rapper got a style. I even don’t mind the Game dropping names (even though i was NOT feeling his Wavey song, i just mean in general) b/c if you go back in hip hop history a lot of artist use a line or two from someone else. if we can sample beats i don’t see a problem in sampling lines. in the 90’s when you knew the line coming next it was like a OH ISH type moment. if people don’t know those lines are Biggie’s that’s their problem not his. Especially since half the young people (up here in NY) wanna call Biggie the Greatest but don’t know 2 songs off of Ready to Die and can only quote Biggie Duets and maybe 4 songs on Life After Death.
