Dudes is coming from a different era nowadays with these songs. If Drake making songs from his perspective and he gonna get paid for it, then cool. I mean it won’t be ill lyrics but what is rap if not pop music? Rap has always been pop in my opinion. Only a few cats were an accident in that they could actually spit and were still popular. Drake is more like a Kanye, he gonna do his numbers but no one cares about him in the scheme of great mcs. And really, if you don’t want that respect, I don’t feel you should be rapping but hey, whatever for the cheddar right?

He kinda threw me when he started talkin that pop vs. hip hop stuff but the kid is sharp! I think thats why I like him the most and that releasin an album independantly would be EXTRA MAJOR! I don’t think he has a pair of balls that big though, no disrespect!!!
I’m still waitin for him to rep 2 up 2 down though cause thats the 1st area I heard about the kid from and that was like 2-3 yrs ago… before “Replacement Girl” came out way back when!
