this is stupid no one wants to hear any of that positive rap people kno who the conscious rappers are they dont listen to them because thats not entertaining who wants to walk around listenin to someone who raps about stuff thats lets then entertaining. i can see it now in shit like this they always try to make it seem like “the white man” dont want us to hear this truth that theyre speaking when that is not the case cause white kids listen to the same ol kind of bullshit in a different form. black people always feel like theyre smarter than other black people and because of that they have some kind of duty to think for and inform other black people.

^^^^^ YOU NEED JESUS IN YOUR LIFE!!!! ^^^ On another note… I was gonna say that Mc Lyte looks just as fine today as she did 10-15 years ago… she’s timeless… & i’d wax the hell out of that shit (Please forgive me Lord!)

  3. the real gangster Says:

  8. Crush the KiD Says:

    Ey! #1

it’s okay if you don’t like “conscious” music, but the point ( that you didn’t get ) is..

that Hip Hop is a culture, a way of life if you will, and in present day the cultural aspect of Hip Hop

    is not present!

    I HOPE YOU GOT THAT.

    CRUSH

  9. Oboy345 Says:

I hate to be the hater in the room but, Bobby Brown??

  10. Saye Hello Says:

    ^^^^^to noelle

naw i think Bobby Brown needs help. I mean in a psychratic way, to not catch another brick with a swag washed up wack auto tune rapper he should be on apology to whitney for getting her cougar-weight back

  11. Sean Says:

#1: “lets then entertaining” — that should be “less than.” Positive black music would be Rick Ross rapping you the dictionary.

  12. RealHIPOP Says:

I cant wait to see this film, this? looks like something i could really get into. So many legends of hip hop speaking the truth will help the music evolve and break down the real problems causing this exploitation. Kanye West, KRS-One, DMC, Dead Prez, Mikie Da Poet, Lil Scrappy, Talib Kweli, MC Lyte, Dr. Cornel West, MTV’s Sway and spoken word artist Malik Yusef have already been interviewed. Plus big ups to who ever Mikie Da Poet is on that fire track playing in the background, can i buy the single.

  13. PASSIONATE212 Says:

The special thing about the documentary, is the fact that Italian American rapper Mikie Da Poet was chosen for the sountrack, hip hop is evolving and you must looker deeper into this project and listen closer to the artists speak, i think you guys did a great job.
