Freeway: Man, I don’t know how that got out there like that! Like, what’s going down is I’m bout to put out this album, called the Stimulus Package. It’s with Jake One. Jake One producing the whole album. I was in Miami fucking with Baby and them, and me and Baby got a song on the album that’s called “Follow My Moves”. I been fucking with Cash Money. You know, me and Wayne did a joint for the last album, but we couldn’t get the shit cleared in time and all that. We just throwing around some ideas. And I’m launching a label, Free Money, so what better home for it.Who approached you to joining the label?
I seen Baby in a mall. I seen him in Louis Vuitton and we was busting it up. And my man Ceelo, he worked with Baby, so he really basically connected us like that. But, right now everything is still in preliminary.Full Interview @ Rap Radar
Recently Omarion signed to Young Money and now Freeway may be the latest edition to the Cash money roster. I guess there looking to diversify their roster with adding a Philly MC. I think Freeway is a talented MC and can have success if marketed right. What are your thoughts on Freeway?

Dont do it Free!!!! When has cash money ever put out there artist( besides Birdman and Lil Wayne)?????? How many times has the young money/cash money rosters changed. Mack Maine has been down for the longest after wayne, and that nigga still dont have a solo album. I bet mack maine and the rest of young money/cash money dont even have artist deals. Look there is no orginal people at that label except wayne, i dont even think wanye is getting paid right over there. Everybody know Birdman is a contract gangster. DON’T DO IT, FREE! In a year or 2 from now, we’re gonna be hearing how he was getting jerked and they didn’t give him the support he needed. Now its undeniable, Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella was on some real bullshit with the way the lack of promotion and support for FREE AT LAST. That was one of the best albums of 2007/2008. The MONTH OF MADNESS AND PHILADELPHIA FREEWAY 2 is crazy. Freeway is one of the most underrated MC’s out here. I think he could not only hold his own but surpass most of the ranking MC’s out there. He is in top 10, as far as active MC’s. In closing, FREE, to quote your last album…..BABY DON’T DO IT!!! (no homo)

he must think young money is the new Roc-A-Fella. Sad enough the only person thriving on there is lil wayne. Drake is affiliated but is not sign so that doesnt count. Bad move on him and even Jay-Z cuz Free At Last was pretty good and he’s one of the few artist on there that is hungry til this day. The only thing that’s gonna come out of this is another shelved project from him. I wish him the best.

Freeway prefers to signed with cash money instead of doing it on his own, it sucks, i don’t think he can sell again, he had his time when he had the just blaze beats but it’s over so he better signs to koch or something, coz he won’t sell so many units even if he’s @ cash money

i agree with john, he rhymes a bit different now too. its all over the place, too much not really the best style when you making songs for mainstream. maybe on 1 or 2 joints and even then they need to flow. they need to be more refined too. like burger got fries, not like rice and burgers.

free’s first album was nearly a classic……… at least lyrically. i have not heard a song with 3 rappers out that can top “what we do” which is like 6 years old now where jay, free and beans killed it.
if free could not blow up with jay or 50, there is no way he can with wayne. free must be looking for those major label advances. otherwise, he should be able to make much more money being independant. if drake is “hot” right now and he looking for his own label situation; it should tell you something.
if free not ghostwriting or being a rap coach at cash money (like gillie) it would be a complete waste of time. but, he can possibly get a least consistent show money with them.
