The song is hot but it messages the point cause he’s old and doesn’t understand…without autotune there’d b no 808s or some of the great songs out now…Mary J’s new song has autotune on it and it’s the hottest song out…he’s trying to command attention with this and get buzz that’s why he did it and people are fallin for it…
he picked certain djs and radio stations to play it, called out certain individuals all to build hype…he did that well and the song is hot but he’s still not the hottest out…Wayne, Kanye and Em are right now sir…try again with the Dreezy track…maybe since a new school dude is on it you’ll get it right then.

This is all a gimmick to sell more records by recycling the same marketing schemes and ideas from the pre-skateboard influenced era of hip hop we now know today by pushing another not so new trend on the impressionable fatherless generations of blacks and latinos– obviously Jay-Z has no place in the current affairs of hip hop other than he garners respect because he USED to be hot in the 90’s. Your same friends that were wearing fitted Levi jeans and tight white t shirts will go back to wearing big wide jeans and huge dress size white t’s that hang down to their feet- which by the way reminds me of Arab’s wearing long white gowns in the desert.

Point 1: I respect Jay-Z to the utmost despite maybe calling some truths to light that many people fail to acknowledge. And I agree that autotune needs to go and that he finally realizes it and stepped up to say so. But I just wish that the other people who declared this sentiment earlier (1-3 years ago) on the streets would have been credited for DECLARING the END of autotune before Jay-Z got all the credit. There have been many rappers/singers/supporters who cried for the end of autotune, but (again) it took Jay-Z for knuckleheads to listen I guess.
Point 2: With all the trends and fads he was apart of in his early career (shiny suits, Hawaiian shirts, and whatnot) he needs to realize that he is a part of the older generation and that the game has to change, especially since it’s no longer Timbs, FUBU, and Carhartt (when he came in) but is Hollister, American Eagle, and MAJOR designer names (Cavalli, LV, RL Purple Label, etc.). Part of me thinks that this is a decent track, but a greater part of me thinks that this track is from a man who is facing getting older and not wanting things to change as they naturally do. Kinda like how parents do to their kids when the generation shifts.
Like I said, I respect him; I’m just not his dick rider.
Mind you, only people trying to break into the mainstream and go commercial (Top 40) are using autotune, not people like the Foreign Exchange, Joe Budden, Jadakiss, and such. I guess instead of complaining about it, I just changed my preference since I’m a fan of hip-hop from it’s beginning up through to about 2004. Just callin’ it how I SEE IT. Debate it…

Giving random dj’s props, mentioning autotune, using the same line like 3 times (rewrite history). The beat too broken up. This actually is one of the lamest jayz tracks I’ve heard. I dunno what all the hype is about. Buzz track or not, he coulda got his point across better as an emcee. he rap like 4 bars at a time with a minute and a half between each bar (lol.. listen to it..) he got enough time to make a sandwich, smoke a b, and auto tune kanye’s next album before he come back in on the next verse.
