did they record this shit on a cell fone, oh my god the picture is awful th camerawork itself as far as the angles and stuff are cool but bad song bad picture=bad video
I just want to say to # 3 it all about music not about the camera work….She is a legend and you should respect Lyte for this one…This is REAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!! BROOKLYN ALL DAY
Words of wisdom to # 1 & 2 …….its organic music ..she is trying to capture that original 90’s feeling when she was one of the reigning Mc’s in the game……you know… when u were in a ball sack ( no rainbow) with your fams that aint make it. You wont understand ….you grew up on pretty million dollar videos with half naked women dancing to music that has now substance. shit that just spin on radio for a month!!!
lyte is reall good rapper
better than some of the males out there
ok better than alot of the males out there right now
part of me, feels insulted by the whole jamaica thing
cause as far as i know , she aint grow up in jamaica
and having jamaican people around you, while growing up is not the same thing
that just mean you multi-cultural
its like the way a real gangsta looks at a fake gangsta rapper …..and sees right trough him
my moms grew up in queens…..can you imagine me rapping about queens when i lived all my life in the caribbean …..man i dunno what think about it
i know sum people in the caribbean take it reall serious ….like niggas got reall angry when lil kim released that record “lighters up”
but at the same time, i know there is nothin to feel insulted about
cause all she’s doing is bigging it up
the song is fiyah, and how da eff u think this is a real video?? this was probably some internal release only -not meant for rotation on some music video channel. Man, I miss those cats from back in the day. And them young rappers still tryna swagga jack them!
LOL Why would you feel insulted by the whole jamaican thing?
She’s not talking about Jamaica she’s talking about Brooklyn. Jamaicans have been living there for generations so caribbean culture is part of “Brooklyn”. She’s always been a big fan of reggae music and the track got a heavy reggae feel so she reps Brooklyn in this song in a Jamaican/reggae way. Nothing wrong with that, I mean there are several ways to rep Brooklyn.
i know, thats what i said
but this type of thing generally make niggas in the caribbean angry
i remember being at bar and somebody played lil kim, lighter up
and niggas was breaking beer bottles
in a way i can understand why the feel that way
but at the end of the day , the track is hot
and she only repping her hood and bigging up the caribbean at the same time
so its not that serious
to b breaking no bottles
LOVE it. Wow she was all over my old hood. BROOKLYN stand up!
