I don’t know Malice, so i don’t know what he actually has or hasn’t done.
Maybe he released this video to separate himself from his manager and to cover up for wrongs he has done.
But maybe he released the video in the wake of his manager’s case, because he felt it was an opportune time to talk to fans of rap, specifically younger ones who haven’t really experienced real life, so they could understand there is a difference between entertainment and real life.
But I do know that him and Clipse are lyrically talented and usually team up with the right people to put out quality rap worth buying.

What many fans have a problem with are rappers who claim to live a certain lifestyle, rap about it talk about it in interviews…etc. Their music is supposed to be a reflextion on what’s going on in their life or used to do at some point in their everday life. They want people to believe their image is real. When they make up stories then they’re straight up “lying”. When all these rappers are just lying hiphop lose credibility bigtime and becoming more and more of a joke that nobody is taking serious. Wyclef Jean made a great song about this called “Thug Angels” where he makes fun of all these actors and studio gangsters that exist in hiphop.
If you want to act then go to hollywood and be an actor. If you want hiphop music to be like Hollywood then just say so. Every new rapper who get signed who talk street talk should just be honest with the public and say “Yo I really like to act about me being a drug dealer hustler pimp..etc. those are the roles I like to play in my lyrics”.

Props to the screenwriter and director. Why can’t rapper be just as intelligent and paint a vivid picture of a lifestyle, whether it’s authentic or not. i just want it to be entertaining. I agree that you shouldn’t have to Front in interviews like you really do all that but you don’t have to deny it either.

The Clipse’s third LP Till the Casket Drops is tentatively scheduled to drop in September 2009.
The Kanye West featured first single “Kinda Like a Big Deal” was released on April 20, followed by a Bun B-assisted remix on April 30.

wait, did some of you people think that the stuff the clipse raps about was true stories? what about other rappers? do you guys think that stuff is true, too? that’s crazy to me…i didn’t realize people thought this stuff was true. clipse and those other guys are great entertainment, and some of their stuff is based on truth and things they’ve seen/heard/lived. but their raps are not true.
