These songs have given hope back to the album, Stay Wide Awake did have that accent in the beginning, but as soon as the verse started it seemed to have been gone. Sounds good and the Underground song, didn’t hear much of it, but it sounds like Criminal off of MMLP. Eminem is back and you all can hate on here all you want, but the fact remains Eminem is back and he could give a damn if you like it or not. Check out his interview on XXL, he said this album is not about doing numbers he has enough money, this album is for him to do what he wanted to do and if you like it good, if not than don’t listen to it, buy it, download it all that shit. He gonna go platinum simply because he is Eminem, and unlike our own kind that won’t buy music, the white folks gonna support their hip hop artist and buy his music. If only black folks would support music than we wouldn’t have these problems. All you so called Rick Ross fans ain’t even buy his album, and call 150,000 albums sold a success, kill yaselves. T.I. did nearly 500,000 his first week that is a success. Wayne did a Millie that’s a success. Kanye, did about 3 or 400,000 that’s a success. Rick Ross failed. Jadakiss doing 150 with no promotion that is a success. Eminem going platinum when his cd drops, with really no video play, and all internet promotion success. It looks like Eminem is trying to out do Soulja Boy with strict internet promotion and being successful. Well everyone else under me go ahead and hate on these two good songs, but the fact remains your hating means absolutely NOTHING!!!!

May 7th, 2009 at 3:55 am
Who the fuck cares?? It’s a testament to the mentality of people of color, waiting for a white dude to come save what they themselves created. If I want to hear about drug addiction, I can just take it to an N.A. meeting or some shit.
May 7th, 2009 at 3:55 am
wack ass u know what. come on man, really!
May 7th, 2009 at 5:06 am
this is obviously eminems worst album..
May 7th, 2009 at 5:07 am
THAT 2ND TRAK SOUNDS CRAZY , BEATS ILL, HOPE IT GONNA BE A GOOD ALBUM THAT ILL ACTUALLY SPEND MONEY ON,
May 7th, 2009 at 7:16 am
he stays rappin with that stupid accent.
May 7th, 2009 at 7:17 am
No No No. The beat and the theme seems hot but what a fuck is up with that accent, That ruins every eminem song. I think that em is the greatest alive (yeah I said it) but he’s messing up for himself with that vioce. I’m a huge eminem fan but I only listened one time threw the whole encore cd and I think I will do the same with this one. We want Shady back!!!
May 7th, 2009 at 7:33 am

May 7th, 2009 at 10:51 am
This is my personal opinion , so far all these songs by em arent bad and some might say they are actually really good , but my concern is how many of these songs can you play over and over again, or which one of these songs can you blast out of your car , iam a big eminem fan but i cant listen to these songs more than once or twice, for example last summer when lil waynes dropped his album , i swear to god every time i stop on a red light every single car next to mine is blasting a song from that album whether lolipop or a millie or get money …. thats my opinion not being a hater just stating my mind , i will still cope the album though

RealTalk: The “accent” everyone is referring to is Eminem taking it back (Relapsing) to his Slim Shady LP and Marshal Mathers ways. His flow is the same as those two albums as well – he is Relapsing. People need to understand that Eminem is aware of this – he’s mentioned in numerous interviews that he is Relapsing to his old style – it’s almost like a concept album. Like how Jay Z attempted to bring it back to Reasonable Doubt with the content he put in American Gangster. No one can deny that Eminem is extremely talented and can ride a beat with the best of them (Hov, Pac, BIG, NAS, Pun). So stop hatin, you sound like a chick. There’s a Relapse 2 coming and I’m sure the “accent” will be gone. Take it for what it is or listen to Ricky Bobby while doing the Stanky Leg. Say what you want but Em will lyrically kill your top 5. P.S. Those 2 snippets sound like bangers: “Soon as my flow starts, I compose art like the ghost of Mozart.” Chyea!

May 7th, 2009 at 12:25 pm
Idk about you guys but i wouldnt be so quick to hate on the album…cuz the best songs on eminems albums werent his singles…think about it…just dont give a fuck, still dont give a fuck, marshall mathers, criminal, kill you, til i collapse, soldier, even yellow brick road…i think these two songs sound hot and its great to hear songs thats actually have a concept behind each and every one for once…thats been missing for a lonnngggg time from an artist who can push a mil in the first week…relapse and relapse 2- the only choices for album of the year
May 7th, 2009 at 12:38 pm

May 7th, 2009 at 1:48 pm
Who cares about the accent its alot of rappers with annoying voices u listen to the music for its content not who has the nicest voice. no one complains about lil waynes accents he uses on every song he put out.
May 7th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
Why do white boys wear wave caps?
riddle me that
May 12th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
UPDATE: VERY few accent songs on this album. Most is old-school eminem sound! Great shit!
To those of you who haven’t heard the album and are thinking all the reviews are negative: NO, THEY AREN’T. Everyone I know who are true Em fans fuckin’ love this album. It’s easily his best since MMLP. His flow is sick, the beats are hot, and the wordplay is amusing and impressive. It IS a grower album, and I wasn’t overwhelmed the first time (except for a few tracks like Underground), but after 5 or 6 listens… DAMN! This is a phenomenal piece of art. Skeptical? Just listen to the second half of the album. The first half pales in comparison. Check out these highlights:
-Underground
-Stay Wide Awake
-DejaVu
-Must Be the Ganja
-Medicine Ball
That’s for the fans of the more serious, intense Eminem. If you like the lighter/goofier side, check out:
-Insane (lives up to its name BIG TIME!)
-My Mom
-Beautiful
-3 AM (serious, but has the playful accent I’m not fond of, and a more catchy/pop like tune)
-We Made You (one of my least favorites, but a lot of people like catchy shit)
Honorable Mentions:
-Bagpipes from Baghdad
-Hello
-Old Time’s Sake
-Same Song and Dance
Overall, 9/10, and some of his best work I’ve heard. And I’m a fan all the way back to Infinite. I wasn’t expecting ANYTHING after the poor album “Encore”, but this is Em at his (almost) finest. Seriously, who the fuck doesn’t like some of these brilliant tracks?? Just the first 5 I mentioned are CLASSIC SHIT! Can’t please everyone though…

Best album since Marshall Mathers LP. Love every song. Even after I’m to the point where I’m stuck in the music I grew up with, I have to make room for this one too.
