To me the phrase “reference track” is basically what it its, somehting you use has a reference to make better. It is obvious that wit all the blood shit in the song, that it was meant for Wayne. But I think that Drake prolly made the track to show Wayne a specific way to sing the shit, for Wayne to make reference to it and do whatever with it.

It might me far-fetched to some of ya’ll, but it makes sense to me. I really don’t believe the whole Drake ghostwriting for Wayne shit. And please stop believing that GDK wrote Wayne shit, cause where is that nigga now?

Actually, after giving it another listen, those double cup, soo woop, and young lines are stuff wayne would say. Plus, the melody does sound like a Wayne track. Thgat ghostwriting possibility is getting much higher.

that definitely did not have a D3 vibe to it. It was a solid track though.

And we all know Wayne can’t sing like that, so it was definitely not a song Drake ghostwrote for Wayne, or meant for him to sing it. But he did say soo woop in it like he was a blood. so, there’s still a possibility.

I’ma stand by my word though. I don’t think Drake writes for Wayne.
