Nas Requests Judge To Deny Kelis’ Spousal Support Request
Kelis filed for divorce April 30. She’s weeks from giving birth and unable to work, but no matter to Nas — he’s filed his response to the divorce, asking the judge to deny her the spousal support she’s seeking. For bad measure, he also wants her to pay her own lawyer’s fees.

I don’t think this means he doesn’t want to give her spousal support at all, he may feel she is asking for too much. I’m sure more details about this will be on the way.

Kelis is not a superstar “overseas”. Kelis is obviously not poor but she hasn’t made money like Nas. This is going to get ugly just like most divorves. It’s a shame so many couples can’t get along. It seems like 95% of all marriages end up in a divorce.

How can you lose respect for Nas because of what goes on in his marriage? Nobody is perfect and we all do mistakes, that’s life. It’s just a sad situation for him right now, but to lose respect for him because of this mess don’t make any sense at all. Who gives a fuck if Jay hasn’t made as many personal L. All I care about is their music. I can understand not respecting a dude as much anymore if I’d find out he was a phedophile murderer rapist…etc
I hope Nas comes back stronger than ever from this. Moves on and use this experience to put out some great quality music. Usually when you’re down and feel like crap that’s when you’re most creative.
