DJ Quik: “Leave Gangsta Rap Alone”
I think when he is saying, “gangsta rap,” he is talking about the kind of music that was coming from the west in 90’s. The songs about killing, robbing and gang banging. Any hope for the west to come back anytime soon?

People don’t wanna hear Gangsta RAp?? Nahh what you think Cam aka Spacely Sprocketz is? I love gangsta rap and thats what I wanna hear. I wish Juelz would go back to that instead of rappin bout fallin in love all the time lol. Bring back them dayz with Biggie and Big L style raps.

They got some dope artists coming from the West……
Its people like DJ Quick that should help them get on and become bigger, instead of sitting there and knocking the new kids…..
why waste time making records with Kurupt (cuz he washed up) when you got dope new kids like Ya Boy, Nipsey, etc etc…….2 cents

Only a few can do gangsta rap and do it well. The problem is that record labels aren’t as liberal as they use to be.
Remember how 50’s Ofiicer Down was censored like a mutherfucker even for his actual album. It ended up being called Man Down and the word “police” was bleeped out.
All out Gansta albums are impossible to release.

Dope producer, underrated and more G than most of the knuckleheads out now.
