Scott Storch Speaks On Recovery After Losing 30 Million Dollars

Lost in a three-year cocaine-abusing haze, he lost more money than most people reading this story will see in five lifetimes: $30 million. Yes, he blew almost his entire fortune on coke, cars, houses, lavish trips, partying and a series of what he calls “poor judgment decisions.” Earlier this month, Storch was arrested for grand theft auto for allegedly failing to return a Bentley he’d leased in 2006. And last year, Storch hit legal trouble after reportedly falling behind on both his child-support payments and his property taxes.

  1. Hi Hater! Says:

Nigga just got to do another ‘Still Dre’ and he’ll get 30mill REAL QUICK

  2. MaL Says:

Hope ol boi pulls all the way thru. Dude got major talent and I’m pretty sure he can bounce back got he has always had multiple styles of production. And b4 somebody marches in here and says he’s broke, I’ll jus say it in advance………………..NIGGA PLEASE! (no Shonuff voice)

Dude was worth around $75-$80 mill, so u do the math. Our broke and rich folk broke is 2 different things.

  3. Basedboy Says:

I doubt he is broke but remember when they add up peoples wealth they use net worth aka before taxes and adding up all property, not just money in the bank. I also hope he pulls through drugs are messing up so many people. Hope he doesn’t pull another diss track on timberland though… love both of there music and yeah they are very diverse, they can do the rap/ hiphop tracks but also the pop tracks. hail to the super-producers

  4. 501 Says:

wow he was the hottest producer a few years back…but i guess crack can be hell of a drug.

  5. wtf Says:

    SAY NO 2 DRUGS

  6. HOLD da WASTE Says:

man scorch was cocky as shit over pricing beats with that shitty ass glasses he love to wear lol. im glad he on his grind though hip hop needs this type of mentality. more than what you expect..

  7. PIGGY ROSS Says:

DRUGS WEREN’T THE PRIMARY REASON WHY THIS GUY WASN’T IN DEMAND,NO LABEL IS GOING TO PAY $50,000+ ANYMORE FOR A GOOD BEAT WHEN THEY CAN PAY $5,000 FOR A GREAT BEAT.TIMES HAVE CHANGED,TECHNOLOGY HAS EVOLVED,AND THESE SUPER PRODUCERS HAVEN’T EVOLVED WITH IT.

NOBODY CARES ANYMORE WHO MADE THE BEAT,SO LONG AS ITS HOT THE RADIO STATIONS AND BLOGGERS WILL GIVE IT ATTENTION.SADLY THIS ALSO APPLIES TO RAPPERS NOWADAYS SO LONG AS THEY HAVE A GOOD FLOW THEY’RE GIVEN A PASS EVEN IF THEIR LYRICS ARE GARBAGE(SEE RICK ROSS).

  8. KB Says:

    @MaL #2

I agree, he aint broke how we see broke. He just have to dumb down his lifestyle, fall back with the yahcts, Bently’s & shit but all & all he aint going to the PJ’s, he still has a HOUSE, it just aint a Mega Mansion like before!

  9. MaL Says:

KB, exactly! Dude was jus 2 excessive. He can still have SOME of it, but he definitely has/had 2 scale back on da fly shit.

And Piggy Ross u raise an excellent point. And Scott was had a high ass ticket 4 his beats (around 50 to 100k). Thats why u don’t really even hear 2 many MEGA producers on the radio/brain programming waves EXCEPT for when it comes 2 RnB (usually more bankable). If I was a good proucer (which I am, lol) or if I was really in demand I wouldn’t really charge more than $35,000 for a BANGER/single worthy. I’d only charge an average of $15 to $19k for my normal fee. I’d rather have more points on an album newayz and get my money on the back end (royalties).

Storch should be very humble and hungry for a resurgence. I don’t care what no one says, the “Get Up” track was ridin’!

  10. KB Says:

    @MaL

Actually, Scott had it backwards, he was charging decent prices for his tracks? He was charging like 80-90k, thats reasonable compared to Timbaland & The Neptunes who was selling their tracks for like $200k+!!! But what happen with Scott was he wanted to live a Scarface Lifestyle and thats where he fucked up!

  11. Chiz the Great Says:

Don’t ever count another mans money. That being said I wish him well in recovery…real life is very humbling.

  12. Aruba Says:

right now i could easily say how i would spend and save 30 mill wisely
but in reality its a different story when u actually hav the money

the accumalation and sustainment of wealth is one of lifes hardest tests on the soul (character)
if ur not carefull u’ll destroy urself easily

    sad story

i hope he gets bak to the business

i wonder who would be bigger in miami, him or khaled

    -Aruba

  13. HOLD da WASTE Says:

^^ cosign lol scott opened up the box that made him think he could do what ever he wants bcause he had some money.

  14. ?? Says:

    fucking bum.

  15. JohnBravo Says:

i like timbo, scott and the neptunes. their beats are synonymous with the term hits hence the heavy price tag. plus chad and P gotta split there shit 2 ways and pharrel always be singing the hook. i cant believe scotty fell off like this tho, finally took the shades off too i see. “pass me a drink! and dont fall on the dick!” cheers!!!

  16. Dont wanna b a 8ter no more Says:

Damn ole boy was mad hype…at least the dope man fed his kids with ole boyz money.

  17. we stone Says:

    his sunglasses are gone!

no matter what scotts gna provide somethin… hes the piano man!

  18. J-KING Says:

COCAINE IS A HELL OF A DRUG !!!!! I am glad tho to see him more humble and more down to earth now lol I remember back in the day you would NEVER see this guy without his shades on lol he was high as his prices for beats all the time.

  19. mikchek Says:

Be smart make your money invest and don’t act a fool now he feels like a mule damn 30 mill he could have donated that to a charity. Do like Master P make your money and be done with whenever u what and u can do good by it and be blessed and bless other people fools.
