Damn Tyler Perry is killin it, talk about from nothing to something.
Perry moved to Atlanta in 1992, and worked in a restaurant and as a used car salesman. He managed to save up $12,000 to stage his first play. It was not a success and over the next six years he struggled living in Atlanta, but persevered until the play finally had a successful run in 1998, first at the House of Blues, also known as the Tabernacle, located near the CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium, and later at the Fox Theatre. His following play, a staging of Bishop T. D. Jakes’s book Woman Thou Art Loosed, was an immediate hit, grossing over $5 million in five months. A film version was later created starring Kimberly Elise and Loretta Devine, and was released in theaters in September 2004.

why is this news…and its their business! Real billionaires don’t allow thier business to be released like this…only if the IRS is investigating you! I think some of these stars’ earnings be boosted up a notch…look at Dame Dash for example…he was one of hop hop’s top millionaires and look at him now BANKRUPT! This list makes you wonder if its real or just about marketing so the stars popularity can grow…we all know today’s fans like you more if they believe you have more money than GOD!

I personally don’t believe some of these stars have half the money these magazines report. I think its all publicity and over estimation. There are people who are not famous and they have more money than these stars and their earnings are not publicized like this!

@made men, those people who earn much more than these STARS are not celebrity that is why you don’t hear about them. CEOs and Hedge Fund managers make way more than that but because they are not superstars we don’t hear about them and there is nothing wrong about that.
These numbers can be true because they pay taxes like you and me.
Tiger did not even play much of 2008 but still earn more than 100 M.

And after lawyers, managers, staff, choreographers, promoters and such get paid, these people take home 1/3rd of this money. I dont think Tyler Perry or Jay-Z, the individuals earned that much money. I think Tyler Perry, Tiger Woods, Beyonce and Jay-Z, the BRAND earned that much money. The INDIVIDUAL walks away with far less than the BRAND does

A person’s TAX or YEARLY EARNINGS is NOT public information…otherwise The Clintons wouldn’t have been PRESSURED to release their tax information…it would have been available to the public already. This stuff is all about publicity…assumptions! The IRS has that info…and the individual person…it would be against the law to release such personal information about a person without their permission!

Why the hell would magazines who focus on celebs list a bunch of unknown ppl? Nobody is saying these are the richest mothafuckas on the planet earth. It’s like when people magazine list their “most beautiful people in the world”. The ppl on those list are celebs, I mean they aren’t going to put some woman/man on that list who aren’t in the public eye no matter how beautiful and sexy she/he is.
