i think i found this joint and i’m like…none of this is new news…lol!

but to me who won? Dame? no… Jay? no… Universal YUP!!! cause they stomped out the closest thing to a self sufficient black owned and operated label! Some of yall don’t even understand business. Let the Roc go? Come on! Dame and Jay profited off of that. Dame just happened to spend all of his money and outside of him being a business man he lost his top earner. You have to understand how music has changed since the Roc was sold. Mainstream consumers do not purchase music based off of talent. Look at prevalence of “ringtone rappers”. Then taake a look at how iTunes/Amazon and so forth. Individual songs are being sold for a little of nothing. How much do you think the actual creator of the songs gets? Think smarter not harder!!! The Roc needed to be sold. How much do you think they would’ve gotten had they tried to sell the The Roc right now??
