Stop The Madness: Soccer Player Shot While Trying To Score A Goal
Police say an Iraqi soccer player has been shot dead just as he was about to kick what could have been the tying goal in a weekend game south of Baghdad.
Police Maj. Muthanna Khalid says a striker from the Buhairat amateur team was facing only the goalie during a Sunday match in Hillah when a supporter of the rival Sinjar club shot him in the head in the final minute of play.

Back when the Bulls were killing the NBA I wondered what would happen if a psycho fan just came out and clotheslined Jordan before he could shoot a game winner. This is on another level, how crazy must you be to shoot someone over a damn game?

Even though soccer/football is almost like a religion in many european, african and Latin american countries with tons of out of control fans you still don’t see anyone shot players SMH.
That was in Iraq though. I’m sure the killing had more to do with other stuff, than just over a soccer game. Iraq is not a very safe country.

football/soccer niggas get it in. i’m from colombia it aint safe to go to the stadiums especially if u rockin a jersey of the team that won. some fan of the rival team might just stab u for no reason. it happens every game….sad but true

I AGREE WITH Q,FOOTBALL IS LIKE A RELIGION OVERSEAS,PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY SPEND MONEY TOWARDS WATCHING AN ANTICIPATED GAME RATHER THAN SPENDING THAT MONEY TO PUT FOOD ON THEIR TABLE-REAL TALK.

Not to wish any wrong-doing against a legend but i wish someone would’ve knocked Jordan for one championship series against the knicks in the 90’s. He was straight shitten on them.
