Just previewed your album iTunes and i’m a little confused, how can ur album be called new jack city and 7 of the 11 songs on the album are for the women? If you were were going to name your album that you should have more songs focusing on other things than that…seems like u wanted to show people u steped ur rap game up but when it was time to do your album u got scared and did songs u were comfortable doing. Is JD afraid to put content of matureity on ur album? You should have named ur mixtape NEW JACK CITY 2 and had more hardcore content and named ur album pedigree….and by the way how can a sequal of a movie be an album? And I’m not bying the whole me and JD broke up and got back together gimmick because if he produced anything on this ALBUM / EP….than you all need to stay broke up, please don’t mistake this as hate just reviewing what I heard and observed. 11 songs on a album and 7 of those songs are about ladies should not be titled NEW JACK CITY 2

I find it so funny that you all (men) are questioning why he make records for the ladies. Had be not made record for the ladies, would you have gone out and purchased his album, brought it off of Itunes, or ordered it from Amazon, FYE, Best Buy or other department stores? I hightly doubt it. He made an album catering to the people who were actually going to buy it. Seems smart if you ask me. The name is questionable, but the direction of the album is fine.

My question is: Bow Wow now that you’re on your seventh album, how does it feel to have been able to last this long with the way the industry constantly changes?

i bought the album.. it was preety good.. obviously his lable is not gonna let him do the songs he want thats why he brought out the mixtape. bow wow steped it up and the songs are good.. maybe yall should go pick up his mixtape and album if yall wanna hear that. the same niggaz talking about why he make songz 4 the ladies but yo fave rapper doing the same thing.. the album is solid. if u wanna hear freestyles then go on his youtube. nigga not just gonna switch his shit for some niggaz that wont even support him anyways, that why he put out those mixtapes. the hate is sad cuz tis album got a better rating on itunes than jim jone..smh!

Bow Wow has a demographic. He knows it, he caters 2 it. The title is about the relationship with JD. Listen to the album and you feel that old So So Def vibe. Why are ya’ll STILL stuck on that?
He sold more then Soulja Boy and Jim Jones in their first week in his FIRST DAY. Maybe because he ha more lines and a better delivery then both of them.

This is Bow Wow’s greatest album since 2003 undercredited “unleashed”. While “Unleashed” was great touching on personal and social, “New Jack City 2″ has Bow Wow at his most confident, and romantic. He’s far from “puppy love” with the loving “like this” and freaky but fun “pole in my basement”. On “You can get it all” he shies away from autotunes and instead sings over the TLC sample. If you dont like Bow Wow or can’t admit you do then the TI assisted “Been doing this” is a great song for you. It features Bow Wow’s fast delivery that he started with and can be likened to his midwest roots as most of those rappers have a clear faster flow. Here he says it doesn’t matter what you say, he’s an accomplished rapper and has been for a decade. This album has a great feature with rising Grammy nominated singer Trey Songz on the addicting “I ain’t playin”. Also an instant song to fall in love with is “She My” which makes great use of an old classic Bobby Brown song.
This album is fun. It’s not lyrically a smash as it appeases to his young adult fans and not the hip hop heads. He understands his true demographic. Even those rap fans will find “what they call me ” and “Get that paper” to be write up their alley. They can also check his mixtapes “Half man half dog 1 and 2″ which give lines and metaphors.
JD is back which gives the album it’s title. Like the New Jack City film characters Bow and jD are a great pair. Bow is very comfortable over his tracks and you can HEAR his charsima in the songs. This album gives great energy and doesn’t dumb things down for the kids. This is from a 22year old multiplatinum rapper and it’s a good product. If you ever thought to buy a Bow Wow album and give him a full listen this is the album to try.

You people r really stupid he named his album NEW JACK CITY PT 2 b/c of his friendship with JD and how the business got in between them and that is what happened with Nino Brown and how he ended up getting murdered. His relationship with Gee Money got Nino Brown murdered in a sense. But after Nino left the court house he was gonna apologize to his “friends” and his “life” was taken away over something stupid. Had that not happened they would be Nino Brown and Gee Money and Cash Money Bros. That is why he named it NJC PT2 both of them JD and Bow apologized to one another and the NJC PT2 was named that due to the Roc the Mic song. Bow has alot of potentional but you guys r to blind to see that. I wasn’t much of a fan of his but I am a fan now after listening to his mixtapes and following his Youtube. You people need to understand that Lil Wayne used to have ghostwriters too, heck Lil wayne was in Bow’s video BASKETBALL. Pay ATTENTION to his Credientials and what he has accomplished at the age of 22. He performed at the Inauguartion ball, did walk across america to get people to vote, 7 albums, movies, sold out concerts, etc… You people always wanna put him down for stupid ass reasons. What about Lil wayne making a fucking damn rock album??? He is a rapper not a rock singer but you all aint knocking him. Why is that? Is it because Lil Wayne is a CRIMINAL AND A DRUG ADDICT?
