that’s why this is such a subject of debate. I never said Jay can’t spit. My point is that he’s not as lyrical as so many other MC’s. Matter of fact I could agree with you on the Biggie comment. Not because he wasn’t lyrical but from the standpoint he didn’t put out enough material in my eyes. And for you to bring up RD just proves my point. That album is a Classic but it’s ancient. Jay continues to rhyme about the same things and hasn’t evolved. To “dumb it down” for the money is dumb in itself. Besides, Jay doesn’t need to dumb anything down. He’s going to sell regardless and he would get more love by keeping it real. I could go on for days and days but for me he’s not even close to top 5

Does anyone have their own mind anymore? It’s like if you don’t say biggie or pac in your top you would be casted out of rap or the hood or something. Both of those guys did huge things I can understand that. But It almost seems like because they both were murdered people just feel obligated to say that they were the best. Ofcourse 50 and Jim Jones will outsell Cam. Cam isn’t as commercial as them and doesn’t care about hit songs. His Top 5 makes sense. Big L was his mentor. Cam’s discography is better than about 99% of rappers including Jay-z. Jay-Z has been crap for about 3 albums now. Cam has COTC, Diplomats and a bunch of mixtapes and he is rarely slack on the mic. And when he is, he just goofs off and still makes it entertaing with shit like “I sit and wonder, How could they wonder if I’ll be a One-hit wonder. Now I’m getting bread like wonder but I can become the Munsters/Dun spit thunder”. He’s crazy so he’ll always be more creative and entertaining than everyone else. He’s always lyrical and creative even when rapping about unserious shit.
