To put lil Wayne in anyone’s top 10 or 5 is like putting shaw bradley in top centers in the NBA. Ridiculous. The guy has one decent solid album and he is top 5?? wtf?? What the hell happened to we not even going after record sales…
I remember when Vol.1 came out or Illmatic came out…those album did not sell alot and people were like is biggie jay-z and Nas..then 2pac then scarface then cube etc..just based on their music and lyrical ability – or better yet 2pac then biggie then Nas then jay-Z…or whatever order..but the fact that jay-Z was mentioned so prematurely as people top mc…without any significant album sales…says alot..same with Biggie and Nas..and 2pac..they really didn’t have the albums sales that artist are idolizing today…or have the budgets that albums have today…50 cent sign a multi million dollar deal with Em for GRODT….despite his enormous success…it took a boat load of money to create that album…more than a million $$…Jay-Z Vol.2 which is his best selling album to date..with 4-5 million off da gate..only took less than 350K to make..lol..so you do the math….bottom line is sales in no was shape or form equates to how good you are…the music is…so to sum up Lil Stayne is in no way shape or form with one solid album top 5…he doesn’t even have a classic album..not one…all the greats have at least 2 eg. Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Em, 2Pac, Scarface, Dr. Dre, Cube etc..these people have classics…do your research…Qtip (with a tribe called quest), The Fugees…etc..these are top 10…their music will live for ever..and ever ever…this 5 foot whoopi goldberg is a trend.

1. 2pac (The greatest, i was a fan and allways will be)
2. Ice Cube (The ruffness, the coolness, G to the end, one of my fav no dobut)
3. Nas (Even though i really ain’t digin the new nas, i loved…. i am, stillmatic, gods son, illmatic etc., gotta give it up for Nasir)
4. Lil Wayne (His Metaphors are crazy, i listen to every word he say when i listen to his rap, even though i don’t like the person lil wayne, he is like a crazy dude on drugs and shit, still gotta respekt the music, and i’m most def fan of his music and the way he put it down)
5. DMX (I remember when he came out they called him the new pac, he really made some great music, and i still listen 2 X, allways will be one of the best rappers of all time)

I’m 34 yrs old I feel like these list that are being put out is crazy!!!!!!!!!! Some of you need to pay more attention to the past to understand how everyone is doing it now!!!!!
First thing is that alot of people are biting styles of the old to try to make a name for themselves… Jay-Z made a mark on hip hop and people have followed it to this day. Pac made a mark also in the way he rhymes also that is the blue print of how people are rapping now. Kool G Rap and Rakim have paved a way for people use word play. Ice Cube and Eazy E has put gangsta rap in the world so people to know wha the fuck is going on!!! KRS-One has put Edutainment in the world (education and entertainment). Nas and Biggie is and was a beast on the mic period, there is nothing else to be said. LL Cool J is a ladies man but what people fail to realize is that L is a battle rapper and is a beast at it.( you think nobody has not fucked with yet on how he conduct his self they do to everyone else doe) Him and 50 Cent are doing the same exact shit. There is a lot of others that I can mention like DMX(Ride or Die shit), BIG Daddy Kane(on his pimp shit), Big Pun (on his Latin shit), but I will be here all night writing this shit. I read some of the post on here, died laughing! and yeh I dont think that Wayne is the best rapper out there but he is definitely top 5 I mean how many Platinum records? In how short of time?
He makes more money in a hour then most of you do in a week come on! The kid got it not lately but he puts out more singles and mixtapes more then anybody its ridiclous!
Not all of his music tight but he good.
