The reason why this is serious is because if you get caught with marijuana in your system it’s classified as you being on steroids. He’s a swimmer and just like Track and Field and cycling they test their athletes A LOT, more than other sports. Phelps is an idiot for even taking such a big risk in the off season smoking pot when he knows he will most likely get tested many times and marijuana can stay in your body for more than a month.

Imagine if the worlds fastest man Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt would smoke marijuna and get caught? He’d be banned from his sport for 2 years.
