Before i comment on the piece, i would like to commend realtalkny on its’ continual diverse subject matter. Unlike most sites (mediatakeout) that feed into news hysteria, this site is consistent on posting relevant subject matter and sidebar industry info.(sports, economy and so forth) keep giving me the realtalk As for the piece it’s funny and not at the same time to see mr. pat try and defend but convict as well, a group of people that seem close minded on something that they will never see an end of resistance to. if u listen towards the end you’ll hear mr. pat say that “in 1948 the african-american community was far more law abiding, responsible, and less criminal than today” and chuckles and smiles. i wonder why? is it b/c that year falls in the period from 1876 and 1965 when Jim Crow laws were enforced in southern states in the impeccable united states of america. laws that mandated “separate but equal” status for black americans. its amazing how some people just twist and use things to veil the truth. i tell this to my friends and i’ll type this for anyone who reads, there are somethings that we leave for prayer and practice. if we say and know that the odds are stacked against us unjustly then each individual should have more reason to go against the grain of all stereotypes. with this knowledge we are made better as a person. its wrong to fight dogs. b/c u see it in ur community does not make it right. michael vick broke a crime and look what happened. race came up as playing card as it does quite frequently for a sad percentage of those of color. he should be charged against the same guidelines as any other individual would but being a success coupled w/ his heritage hendered someone from agreeing w/ that. its not fair, but we can’t put ourselves in certain situations that allow those that possess such racist mindsets and sentiments a chance to apply them. hate is the wrong answer no matter the tragedy. i know. it only facilitates a cycle of continued oppression and sorrow. if anyone saw the HBO special on those that supported mcain u can see and hear what most people would call ignorance but what i would see as reason alone to promote myself as an agent of equality and an aide to education to those that will learn even a little, with the belief that those that come after will be positive self-scholars for this issue. bless y’all

Mr. Dyson was so true. You see Pat had to bring stats of violence, illegitimacy, and crime. But, you think of this, why do white people only glorify sports and rap figures to be role models in our community. Why we don’t know anything about the black billionaires, millionaires, successful attorney’s and lawyers, doctor’s, black people to this day that still fight for us, and the one’s that care. We need to stop being crabs in the pot first. Learn to love, support, and talk. Change rap music. It’s lame. We need a voice. What happen to our Public Enemies, Martin Dream, and our history. We need to be one. Support us. We taught white people how to be civil. When they was in the Carcus Mountains eating raw meet and what not. We showed them how to be people. They killed us, stole from us, and slaved us. Then they stole gun powder from China and made guns and weapons to shot us cause, they couldn’t beat us with spears and knives. We are the first man to walk the earth. Think about why no one in the world love black people. Government take money from our public schools, don’t hire us, and try mentally in slave us. We need to be self. You see how mexicans do it. Spend money with there own. Whites need us. With out our spending they will go broke. Take heeve. Sorry for the misspelling finger broke.

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR IT! UNLESS A MALE OR A FEMALE WAS BORN WITH A “RARE” BIRTH DEFECT THAT CAUSED THEM TO HAVE “BOTH” SEXUAL ORGANS WHICH CAUSED THEM TO HAVE TO CHOSE A LIFE STYLE/SEXUALITY& THEN HAVE THE SURGERY THEN HOMOSEXUALITY IS A “CHOICE”! JUST LIKE RAPE OR BEING A PEDOPHILE THEY ARE ALL DECISIONS MADE BY HUMAN BEINGS!

Just because u all are homos or support homos does not mean “EVERYONE” else has to agree with that shyit!
But it’s crazy how all of a sudden there were communication problems with the mic when ever Mr. Dyson was speaking but NO one else seemed to have that same problem! Coincidence? Not hardly!

African Americans as a whole do not blame Caucasian Americans for the conditions of the hood! The blame goes to those racist individuals that deny African Americans the rights to the same jobs that pay better wages which gives us the opportunity to live in better neighborhoods just like them!

That’s where the problems with differential treatment comes in, a white man having less credentials than a black man but still gets the job or promotion over the brother simply because of his ethnicity. This happens all over the nation, & this is a big part of the reason for the differences in criminal activity in some areas between blacks & whites.

wow i love dr dyson..he trully represents our voice..and i appreciate that . he didn’t back down and he let them know the true problems of this nation and what needs to be done to overcome our race issues that has been overlooked and ignored by whites..and yes we have to also take responsibility for ourselves and make the black community better… but like dr dyson said so very well it all starts with ownership of what was down to not only us but other color…i coldnt’ have said it better myself and pat couldn’t really get with anyhing dr. dyson was said because he knew he was speaking the truth and nothing but the truth..
