Maybe chopping off the hair so you dont look so typecasted. Take a speech class. A few more acting classed. Appearance is everything in acting and also how drastically you change can help you gain attention from those casting directors. Look at Michael from The Wire, he made it in movies like The Secret Life of Bees and now he’s on 90210. Not exactly where anybody expected him, but thats cause he was able to transform and adapt. a lotta jobs ain’t lookin your way cause you don’t look like them!!! College eh… I did it ain’t mad @ it but I got my job prior to graduation… its all about networking and not makin the person who got you in look bad… IMO!

College doesn’t guarantee anything but it helps you get your feet in the door. A Lot of jobs will not even look your way unless you got a degree. The problem is people think all they need is a degree. You need to network and get experience while in school. This young man needs to know acting is risky and you can easily end up broke waiting for your next gig.
