Yo Real Talk, even if this track was put out purely for promotional purposes, AND if this was originally intended to add to the publicity for his album, it should still encompass quality material. Garbage diss tracks are only going to create negative press for his album and decrease sells. I mean come on that’s basic brand-linking & common marketing knowledge. So I do not think this track is for promo purposes. I think he’s attempting to save/redeem his-self but unfortunately he has to try again. Personally, I think it began as a publicity stunt. However, now I feel that Ross is stressed and emotional. You can tell it in the interviews… he’s not even making sense or formulating his thoughts/responses clearly. In another interview, he’s dissing 50 for dressing “bad” and repeats it in this song. However, 50 primarily wears his own clothing line. Rick goes on to say, that he dresses better because he wears Gucci and LV, and once again that he’s a BOSS. So, someone explain to me to this new BOSS concept that Ross is operating under. Because since when did a real BOSS have the mentality that promoting your own brand (making yourself money, i.e 50 wearing g-unit) is inadequate to purchasing merchandise to wear that’s keeping someone else rich? I mean am I the only person that caught on to that one? Because I think that is comical within it self. I’d rather you put out your own shit that your fans can go out and purchase, than for you to worship LV and Gucci. Nevertheless, I’m actually surprised that the track isn’t better.
