#1 it’s not even Ms. James’ song, Nat King Cole sang it before her & she didn’t even write it (look it up) she’s just famous for doing the same thing Beyonce did,I f Ms. James wants to vent on someone she should start with her FANS! They are the ones who left her high & dry, no one is questioning that “At Last” is her song, but to feed into the hatred for Beyonce’ is not a good look, especially when we’re always being taught to mind & respect our elders. If u don’t like her that’s cool, if you don’t like the president, that’s cool too, but blame yourself & your fans for the downfall of your career, you don’t see Chaka Kahn getting upset everytime someone ask Mary J. to sing “Sweet Thing”! people cover people’s songs all the time & that’s the nature of the business, I’m sure Ms. James signed off in some way whether it was her likeness or music. I’m not saying not pay homage and not sing the song at all, I actually like Beyonce’s version. I was talking about singing it at the inaugural ball. I would feel the same about Chaka Khan, if they were singing I’m Every Woman at the inauguration, I could understand if she was a lil bitter that they picked Whitney.

I just think older people went through a lot with racism….and I think she would have been honored to sing a song that she has been singing for years….just like Aretha sang…she probably feels left out of that historic event like he should have had more older people who went through the struggles given a chance to represent that moment….but taking it out on Beyonce might have been too much unless there is more to this story besides the song….maybe she Beyonce portraying her in that movie was the ignited how she feels today…like Beyonce stealing her legacy somehow LOL……Get her Eta!
