The New Black Over Class: Lebron, Lil Wayne, Baby & Bob Johnson Speak

It was a very interesting show, featuring rich African Americans and how they manage their money. The show highlighted how huge a success Cash Money records is and that Bob Johnson is one of 2 African American billionaires in the U.S. It also posed the question why does Baby buy all the diamonds and cars, but he doesn’t really give a in depth answer to it. In my opinion if he earned he can do what he wants with it, of course it would be nice to give back but it’s his money. In another part they talk to Kurt Franklin and his charity work. They then ask him with all the cars and the big house that he owns, can’t you he doing more charity. I think it was an unfair question, you work hard to be successful so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor

watching this made me realize that this black community
still needs to show progress in unity

not alot of us are willing to help our community achieve the success we desire.

on the road to success, some get lost along the way, people don’t want to share the achievement, they don’t want to share the limelight,
i think there is alot of trust and doubt that affects us from creating that unity

this is just ignorant. how many cars, diamonds or houses do you need to be happy? will your fifth maybach make you a better person, no. is it a good investment, no. will you convey the right values to the kids on the block, no. there are people who are millionaire but you won’t even know, that is real class. buying art is real class, being respected is real class. Love, loyalty, power, respect, friendship, those are the things that count in life. what are you going to do with all your diamonds once you’re 70 years old. think about it.

ps: in this comment I’m talking only about baby’s video

  3. FrontTailPenis Says:

  5. Superman - Hip Hop Says:

I like that piece on Lebron and his homeboys that shit remember of how Jay-Z, Dames, Biggs started out with ROCAFELLA records.

  6. Really Says:

    I especially liked Lebron’s segment.
He showed that he wanted to be in charge and also make a difference in the roles that black people play.
If more people in his position decide to trust other blacks, we would be more united.

They are in a position to change someone elses circumstances but dont.
They dont want to help others out.

Now if you got paid and had the chance to give someone a job… you know you would try and help some of your homeboys out.
Because coming up aint that the plan??
For you and your friends to make it out and be rich.

Alot of other black stars just like having titles of the first black such and such.
I don’t think they actually like being associated with the likes of blacks.
    Which I just don’t understand.

They do business with and give jobs to other races.
    They marry other races.
They want acceptence from other races.

  7. Jazz Jr Says:

    ANY THING IS POSSIBLE!!!!

  8. mman Says:

  9. mateo Says:

  10. bensonhurst goon Says:

  16. JuniorKOS Says:

There’s a reason to buy many houses, many cars, all the jewelry…Not only is it a statement in itself to say “Look young one’s, this is what you could have with hard work”…but also, when it all comes down to it, and IF the money ever runs low, those prior investments can be cashed in to keep going. It’s security while living comfy.

  17. random Says:

is it really that a big of a deal? black people being succesful? i think every race (except for white) has equal chances of being succesful.. so why do people act so suprised if some black people are that succesful? it only means they worked hard in life.
