Diddy’s Plans To Drop A Concept Album, “Last Train to Paris,” In September

did

Sean “Diddy” Combs has revealed new details of his sixth LP. The album, titled “LAST TRAIN TO PARIS,” is slated to arrive on September 22nd. The LP features what Combs describes as electro-hip-hop soul funk — welcoming in an unexpected mixture of sight and sound. “I’m ushering in a new movement called ‘train music,’” says Combs. “LAST TRAIN TO PARIS” is Diddy’s follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2007 release, “PRESS PLAY.”

“‘LAST TRAIN TO PARIS’ is deeper than any of the other stuff I have ever made. It’s a profound love story. It’s me with my shades off. It’s the truth,” says Combs. Diddy is collaborating with hit-making producers The Dream, Tricky, The Neptunes, Mario Winans, T-Pain and Rodney Jerkins.

I see concept albums are getting more popular, he is even shooting a movie to go along with the CD. I’m expecting a lot of features and autotune on this album along with some hot beats. The rest of the press release is below.

“I have been a businessman for the past two years. It’s time for me to focus on being an artist again,” explains Combs. “I am going to show the world a new refreshing side of me. Get on or get off!”

For the past 16 years, Sean “Diddy” Combs has used his artistic vision and entrepreneurial drive to capture and express the sentiments of a generation. As a producer and a performer, he not only created a new musical genre of hip-hop soul, but also catapulted the music and style of African-American youth into the American mainstream. Today, as founder and CEO of Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group, Diddy oversees one of the world’s preeminent urban companies, encompassing a broad range of businesses, including recording, music publishing, artist management, television and film production, fashion, and restaurants.

In recent years, Diddy has added Broadway actor, marathon runner, and fragrance producer to his ever-growing list of accomplishments. He was named one of the most influential business people in the world by Time magazine and CNN.

Having sold 75 million records worldwide, Diddy has left an indelible mark on pop culture.

“I’m infatuated with her, really blown away,” Diddy said. “We wind up spending the night together. I never get her name. When I wake up, she’s gone. A couple of months go by, and I bump into her again on tour overseas. We get together, and she’s attached to my hip. For three months! She’s on my hip for three months. I tell her to come to New York, Miami, all the places where I get it poppin’, where I really do sh–. You know how men pop sh–, like men do sometimes when they’re trying to make a woman fall in love.”

THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME $10

PUFFY, CUT IT OUT, DAWG. Stop it, dawg. Chill the fuck out. Nobody listen to your music for lyrics. So a concept album would be a waste of time. Make your dance hits and move the fuck on. Concept albums are for people who want the fans to pay attention to the lyrics and emotions and words behind them. You aint no rapper and you dont write your own rhymes. So cut it out, dawg.

WHOA DIDDY! Slow your role! That kind of sounds like what Dallas Austin is doing… a “See The Album” concept. Dallas is releasing it this year entitled “8Dazeaweakend”, and has been working on it wayyyy before Diddy even came up with the concept. But then again, they are friends, so maybe they are working together on it. Who knows?

“8 Dazeaweakend is basically a reality experience based on a girl I knew in ATL. I met her with my cousin Juan hanging in after parties and stuff. But this particular weakend she told me she had booked her first psych appointment for Monday and that she was gonna party her ass off the whole weakend. I said “Damn that’s strange, maybe I’ll make an album of it or an experience so that everyone could share in it.” I want people to feel music again and actually see the album. So here I have created a real experience with real music and real friends of mine.”

See it for yourself… here is the link to Dallas Austin’s EPK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbN-r3GttI8
