It's a catch 22 though. You want to break new artists in the club, but like Puff even said, the dance floor will clear. So when you clear the dance floor by playing something the crowd doesn't know, then you're looked at as a WACK DJ. I'm lucky enough to DJ spots that have hip-hop nights where folks get on the mic and perform, so I can break records at those spots.
