Notorious Is Now In Theaters (Leave Your Thoughts On The Film)

Seen it in Bk, no major problems. Theater was over crowded and cops were on deck, but nothing popped off. Unfortunately a shooting took place @ a theater in N.C. where Jamal Woolard was attending.
Police evacuated The Grand 18 Four Seasons Station cinemas Friday just after 9 p.m. after a shooting. A Greensboro police officer told FOX8 News that actor Jamal Woolard, the star of “Notorious” a film about the life and death of rapper Christopher ‘Biggie’ Wallace, was at the theatre. According to the officer, Woolard left shortly after the shooting.
The movie grossed 21.5 million in its opening week. SMH @ people making a big deal about a stabbing at a party that had Notorious on a flyer. It was some local Brooklyn party, not an official movie party. Any local club party could of put anything on their flyer, this only made news because people want to have something negative to report.

The movie was decent, and everyone should go see it and make their on conclusions. I’m a biggie fan, so nothing about the movie surprised, i wanted to be shocked… in fact, i’m kind of mad at CA and Suge Knight and diddy for not seeing the danger of being in CA. Saw the movie last night
I’m an AVID BIG fan so again, I wasnt surprised at the story. However, I was surprised to see that Jay-Z wasn’t in the movie, and he had a MAJOR part in BIG’s life. Same for CHARLIE BALTIMORE. I mean, damn, she was (one of his well-known) his mistress…and the LOX could have been included too…but for some reason, they left those individuals out (same with Foxy).
But, the movie ws good nonetheless. But when the show the street corner (Wilshur) and BIG is in the GMC and YOU KNOW WHATS ABOUT TO HAPPEN, I had that ball stuck in my throat man…
And the REAL FOOTAGE they used for BIG’s hearse at the end AND THE FANS ON THE STREET only made it more emotional…
But this movie was on point for the most part. When it’s out on DVD, I wont bootleg the joint, Imma finna cop it. Pay my respects to my ALL-TIME FAVORITE spitter / storyteller / rapper / lyricist.

YO I GOTTA SAY ON ONE GOOD POINT> True it was a movie and i’m taking it as just that, but you can’t blame the movie on expectations. I mean if they would had made the movie NC-17 we all know this would had been banned for sure. I liked it cause it wasn’t too graphic, but I ain’t gon lie, i do wanna see it again. I just got back from seeing the movie with my fam bam! I thought it was well done…I wish a bit more of the truth on some of the cats in it but I still appreciate what they did put together.
Tho I am a bit confused as to why Lil Kim is all upset about how she was portrayed in the movie? I mean it was…what it was…not that she was his “jump-off” because I didn’t see it that way…but she WAS NOT his wife!
He seemed to be a playa nigga and he did his thang…with the ladies! I was totally impresses by his swagger style…the nigga seemed smooth…LOL I loved it and seeing the movie showed us that side to him.
The nigga I got WAY respect for is that nigga D-Roc…WTF? He straight took that bid for a nigga! Wow not everybody is able…as they used to say. That nigga rolled with them until the Lil Kim situation took place so that fool is mos def a rider nigga!
I am a WEST COAST BEE thru and thru but I love BIG…his flow delivery is still some of the best shit ever made…I’m a old head but I gets down with the HOP HOP…LOL

I saw the movie last night and the shit was good really better than i expected!! I thought the acting was gon be corny but erybody did their thing especially jamal playing biggie. Derek luke had puff down i thought that shit wud have came out lame but he was funny and made you remember how puff use to be! The movie is definitely a must see. I took my wife and she is not even a Hip Hop head and she absolutely loved the movie. The acting was on point and the movie was really honest.

Saw the movie and it was on point. I think someone mentioned that the big homie Jay-Z wasn’t in the movie and I was kinda disappointed by that since he was biggie’s protege. Also, the girl that played Lil’ Kim (Naturi Naughton), definitely didn’t know she had it going on like that. I’d beat for real.

So I am glad that people can say what there favorite BIGGIE beats and lyrics are. For me its a bit different. I kannot say what what my fav are b/c I loved all his lyrics and beats. The man was a lyrical genius. I was in the movies and felt like I was in a concert. I was so pumped at this movie. I feel like it was a good and well put together narration of his life. I am not gonna front I was actually sad at the fact of knowing that he and Pac are no longer in the game. The hip hop game would be so different right now.
Either way if u b in Bmore and hear that NOTORIOUS music pumping through the streets just know its me………

I really enjoyed the movie, the only faults were during the performances they shoulda just used BIG & Puff’s actual lyrics cause in the movie they were a little off beat, & anthony mackie didn’t deliver as Pac’ to me maybe cause nobody could play Pac’ except Pac! The chick playing Faith was a cutie but Nauturi stole the show as Lil’ Kim! (she don’t need any golden globes, she already got 2! lol) but Gravy was BIG & the only Bad part was that it wasn’t long enough to show everything. Oh yeah fav Big song is “Warning” but fav Lyrics are from “you can’t stop the reign” feat Shaq check it out RIP BIG & Pac

first off viloence is what it is i guess when black do it they call it ignorance and call it violence but when whites do it they call it war..lol…but yea the movie was great to me i mean im a fan of hip hop how it came to be who lived for it who died cause of it…like hustle and flow i felt the character i felt the passion i felt the struggle i could relate..of course they wanted to present biggie to a great human being and yes if you ask me i thought he was a normal human being someone who had a dream and had doubts but never gave up hope to live and change the way things were…i think it will be really hard to portray tupac in a film cause like in the movie they said if you asked ten different people about who pac was you would get ten different answers and thats because pac was indeed a mental case not to say dude was crazy but yea he is like me in a way the trust was gone from the world..but on the biggies tip great film great story and somebody tell kim that she was not portrayed poorly in the movie some folks are still in denial..lol.

The movie was a must see, but at the end I felt like it was March 9th, 1997 all over again, I just busted out crying. I know nothing will ever bring BIG back but I wanted the movie to highlight how exciting hip hop was then. How he had New York going crazy! Anytime I hear GET MONEY I remember going to the Tunnel and walking down the block to stand on line. All you heard outside was that song. Those who did not experience that time in Hip Hop never will. He just brought the excitement back to Hip Hop that’s what I miss most about him, his motherfucking swagger. I did get to see him once in the Tunnel though and he gave me the eye, that is something I will never forget. RIP BIG we’ll always love Big Poppa……

He did reach out to Pac, he told them not to fuck with them dudes. He could not stop him from fucking with them though. Pac did what he wanted, he did not beleive anyone would try to do anything to him. He loved New York, he did not start with that West Coast shit until after the Quad Studios shooting. Pac first started his career out of the West Coast but he never got the bias that other dudes got from out of state because his shit was FIRE! First off…the movie was weak. I understand that biographies are a little difficult…but all that money and yall couldnt get a better producer than that?!! The acting was deplorable. The casting was terrible and the only other rappers of BIG’s time in the movie being portrayed were…KIM?? YUCK…PAC??!! Seen his ass every damn day since 97…SOMEONE PLEASE DO ANOTHER VERSION OF THIS FILM!!! VH1’s true Hollywood stories on BIG was better than this bullshit. I guess calling it a “B” movie would be cute, however at least a B movie is halfway entertaining..this shit was a waste….
With that out the way…BIG was one of the illest of all time. One of the first rappers of his era to utilize a complete TEAM of producers, artists, engineers, managers and DJ’s…not to mention DIDDY”S biggest artist to date…AND the only rapper to go up against Pac for the belt…(which Pac 1 but WHOLE nother topic)…
Now for the million dollar question…was BIG a “member”…I think so, and he would be beefing with Wayne right now…well, he would have battled it out with Wayne…wooped his ass lyrically, made peace and did a album wit the dude….Kanye prolly would be exec producing an entire album of his and we wouldnt have heard of countless no name ass 1 and done rappers.
