I think Lloyd Banks and anyone for that matter with the right single can go platinum.

But more than the music artists need to understand that their music needs to be a movement. This is why the Carter 3 was so successful in the opening week. Weezy was building up the anticipation for the album for almost 2 years thru his guest appearances and mixtape drops. By the time Carter III dropped the following were ready to cop.

you make some good points, but lloyd banks aint no lil’ wayne, lil’ wayne came out with one hell of a rap/pop song, i dont think lloyd banks can pull off a lollipop, and when lil’ wayne comes out with another album, it’s not going to sell 1 mill in its first week!
