There’s a difference between an artist experimenting with new sounds (Kanye) and an artist using a gimmick to try and sell albums (Lil’ Wayne).
He ain’t experimenting with shit other than autotune.
He don’t play an instrument (regardless of him pretending to play guitar), he can’t sing for shit so he uses autotune to cover that up, and he don’t produce.
So what exactly is Lil’ Wayne experimenting with here?
He ain’t doing a damn thing other than trying to build on the current wave of hipster shit going on and appeal to the white audience to sell more records.
Everything Wayne does is contrived and fake, from his clothing style to his so-called blood affiliation, to his “experimentation” with music.
He wasn’t on none of this tight pants wearing rock star shit before the hipster movement started.
He saw that shit catching on and decided to switch off to that before any of those artists could make a name for themselves in the mainstream.
Wayne gets no respect artistically or personally around here.

POP( love is the theme in their music..alot singing involed.some of em talk fast on a beat but theyre not rappers) : tpain, ja rule, lil wayne, , nelly, kanye etc and others wo sound like them
GANGSTA ACTORS ( the actors potray the ganster persona in songs/ interviews and other public events…they have the ability to mimick rappers from the hiphop genre and pop stars ..not to be confused with hiphop):50 cent, rick ross, plies, max b, dipset, gunit, the game, fat joe, and others who sound like them

I’m diggin the song. ALOT. Go into it with an open mind, not thinking it’s Wayne, and it is a good song until the whole “PROOOOMMM QUUEENNN, PROOOOOM QUEEENN” part comes in. I dont know how I feel about the tone he used for it. You can get big numbers but still be garbeage, when you sell 1 million copies you need to think about how many of those fans are children following a trend. I respect everyone’s opinions on here but I think most of you will underappreciate the record because you’re listening to it from a rap aficionado’s point of view when it’s a rock record. I like it because I listen to all but I can’t even fully enjoy it because I’m not into rock all like that…the white kids who do listen to rock will evaluate it for its worth and my guess is they’ll like it and buy it in droves…
All that aside Weezy is really a workaholic though…you can say 50-70-90% of his music is garbage but his worth ethic right now is unparralleled…reminds me of the old 50 but not even he used to go this hard. I appreciate his mindset right now.
