Don’t get me wrong I love Jeezy but wtf! The video is fye but the song is stupid. I have been saying this for so long that he needs to take the crack references out this song and the Lamborghini part. It is irrelevant in t the scheme ot things. I’m not hating because i def bumped the hell out of it when Obama won but just saying. We hear about scales and Lambos in every other Jeezy song so this one could have gone without. And just for the record he doesnt even talk about Obama in this song. The only reference in the whole song id that part of the chorus and Nas verse and that weak monologue at the end. Chris Rock you got a point, but the big deal about Obama being president is not that blacks will get special privileges, or even that he’s just gonna the best president ever or somethin’. The major deal is that the country came far enough along to not let race get in the way of picking a man for a position, let alone the most important in the country. Although the hate is not completely gone, it will be some day, I hope. And about the half thing, if he wanted to ride on a bus in the early 50s, i bet he would have to give his seat up. Yes he is half, but everyone treats mix-breads like black people, or at least those with a complexion that resembles a full blooded African American. Also, I don’t think Obama has really created change in racial terms by being elected, he is just a symbol that change has occurred.

Its tru that the fact Obama became president is a huge achievement and symbolises how far black people in America have come. But as a mixed race person myself, my only problem is the fact that by society putting him into the catagory of being a ‘black president’ its adhering to the outdated and ignorant ‘1 drop rule’ created by white people and showing in itself the need for further change in America. Its inspirational and a bigg step in the right direction that someone of black descent whether full or partial managed to become president of the U.S, but I agree with other comments made that it seems asthough Obama increasingly stressed upon his black side more and more throughout the election campaign as a strategic decision to get black votes. However, the bottom line is Obama should be appreciated as the right man for the job based on his policies and character rather than for the colour of his skin and I really hope he doesn’t let us all down and break under the burden of expectation.

The only question that remains is…. Whats next. We have the individuals be they black, white or hispanic that just hate the fact that we are classifying Obama as a black man. Well i’m sorry folks mixed or not that is a very black man you see right there you can tell by his spirit.

I do however understand the concern. People are taking it abit too far lets not put him up on a pedistal . Lets be proud of his accomplishments an wait to see what further accomplishments he makes for our society. I would love to see him improve the united stated image at home and abroad.

Yes he has opened the door for many no matter what race you are you can look at his achievement and say I am proud to be an american now my children have a chance to hold the highest office in the world. However, the music video would have been 10000x better without Jeezy and a leased lambo. Take these two out and the video is a classic.
