It is like Radiohead (yeah i am bringing in alternative music here u non-cultured burgers) is so out there that they can do anything creatively and not thought of as weird. 808’s and Heartbreaks was a ground breaking album and only though weird cause it came from Kanye. In my opinion Kayne is a few notches above Wayne…but definitely not on Jay’s level. To his credit, Kanye has developed such a die hard fan base that A LOT of his lyrical flaws and missteps go overlooked. As an artist he has etched out a name for himself not just in music, but in history (who can forgot “George Bush doesnt care about Black people), but I think he’s far greater in his own mind, than in actuality. Better than 80% of the game? Sure! Better than Jay? No.

I’ve been listening to Ye lately. Some of his old shit and his new shit. Kanye is better than Jay at this point. Jay has longevity but Ye is a lyrical beast. The thing about Ye is that he fits somewhere between the backpack rapper and the Popular rapper. He’s in the same vein as 3000 (not better but in the same vein). To be honest more people black or white can related to Kanye way more that Jay-z. Jay-z is just a fabrication of life. Jay-z is just consider cooler but Jay can’t fuck with Ye lyrically right now.
