Maybe “artists” should learn a little discipline in handling their business and they wouldn’t feel jerked.I’m sure they all lived well under the Bad Boy umberella but None of those artists Except for BIG had a work ethic to match Puff’s.The music business is just like life-HUSTLE WINS,not talent.

The thing most of you don’t understand is that you can sit here and say this is a business, this is that and this but the reality of it all is exactly what Puff said, it’s a BUSINESS…keyword…BUSINESS. You can’t have a business and treat everyone as though it’s on a friendship level. That lifestyle is what makes you end up like a Jay…you get all the money and everyone is left living off you. All of you on here can be Jay fans (and I am too) but the truth’s the truth.

3 black rob – out – Hit single (was always in jail so never blew up)

You can argue it all you want but aside from 50 how many leaders of a record label that are also artists on the same level have been able to produce as many platinum artists and put as much money in the pockets of these individuals as Puff? Yea he took the majority of the money but shit he’s the boss…if they wanted they could’ve went somewhere else. Now let’s look at those who did…Freeway, Young Gunz, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Amel, Peedi Crack, Oschino and Sparks, Rell, Samantha Ronson, and Sauce Money…Out of all of these, other than Beanie who’s really relevant today? And even Beanie is by a slim margin. Out of all of them who can you say is a millionaire ont he same level of 112, Mase, Faith, Lil’ Kim, and the Lox?
For all the critism that you want to give Puff he’s given all of his artists something that Jay was never able to…a life outside of Bad Boy and money on their own. None of the people who were under Rocafella had that…NONE. And you can’t count Dipset because they were who they were before Dame brought em and even then they operated on their own outside of Jay and really the label as a whole. And Bleek’s money is just Jay’s money. Yea you can say Jay never took their money but they never made any money to begin with…yea State Prop had a platinum album I believe but where’s that money now? Let’s be realistic people…Puff’s not the asshole all these bitter artists portray him to be..and thats specifically speaking in the realm of artists/label owners category…only 50 has been able to produce artists in the same mold…and maybe JD if you count him as such with So So Def.
