Ne-Yo comment is terrible and anyone who agrees with him needs to be ashamed of themselves…..Ne-Yo assumed that if he had a baby with this white woman his child would automatically be born light skin and due to the child’s skin color that the child would be cute….what does this say about dark babies or dark people in general! This reminds me of the “no darker than a brown paper bag belief” some black folks did not want to marry a man/woman or have their children marry a man or woman who was darker than a brown paper bag out of fear that that child would be dark skin and not accepted by society! This is a racist way of thinking and the fact that anyone still feels that being light skin makes you prettier than a dark skin person is what we call black on black racism. This is 2008 about to be 2009 and black people are still dealing with racism within our own group…WOW! Slavery really did mess up the thinking of black people…but who would have thought that we would still have the views of the light skin house slaves and the dark skin field slaves!

The thing that’s sad to me is white people come in different shades too but you don’t seem them arguing on a blog about. Wake up Black people. Its not about what Neyo said. Who cares? I’m light skinned and I’m beautiful my grandmother was dark skinned and she was beautiful too. As far as I know we are the only race that fights about color. We are in the middle of a recession we really have bigger fish to fry right now.
