I like when the guy expresses interest in me and what I’m doing in life and fills in the blanks with things about himself, if you can understand that. Talking to me about my body, smile, clothes, or simply asking my name isn’t going to work.

For the guys, what works for me is when you don’t ask to talk with me. For some reason that answer is always no. I might like when a guy looks at my ipod and asks “so you like [insert artist here]?” or when I was riding the bus to the dorms “you live at the dorms?” It may start out like you’re a creep but it’s only creepy if my answer is the end of the convo. lol you got to give me something to work with here.

@ #10 I like what you’re trying to say but in the end it doesn’t add up. 2 things you said was that guys all get lumped in the rude category and that a girl is handling her business when she’s walking down the street. From experience walking to class from my apt is about 3 or 4 blocks and I wasn’t doing anything except walking to class unless it was finals week. When guys would make comments about how I look, I don’t ignore them. I smile at them and keep moving or say no thank you if they ask to talk to me for a min. It’s simply the way they come about it that I don’t like, no matter the race. I’ve been yelled at, called a spoiled bitch and a bunch of other things but in the end, unless he’s trying to stalk me, touch me or pull a knife, I could care less about him. I don’t sweat that stuff. And if all guys get lumped, what are you left with? For example, I’ve noticed the guys in my classes come at me no differently than the guys on the street. So if I like one, I talk with him, bottom line.

That’s how I met my boyfriend actually. He approached me on the bus and he came correct lol probably the first dude that set aside the time to talk with me and not about me to myself. We’ve been together for 3 years now. He’s a good BLACK man and I always thank myself for not passing it up. What I’m saying is that your choice to shut the good black men out, they come at you and you automatically labeled them. That’s not the rude men’s fault.

To the men who said that they’re done with black WOMEN. Really the only thing I have a problem with in your whole comment is the word bitches. Being done is your choice and that’s fine. Maybe I feel indifferent about that because I’m in a serious relationship idk…

I don’t agree with much in the video. lol i knew the guys were going to have a problem with the its only the black guys thing. & that’s because it isn’t true. I’ve seen different people (especially the guys who still have the training wheels on) try to come at girls the wrong way and WHEN they get shot down they curse, yell and act like they never wanted the suddenly boushy chick in the first place. Because their pride is hurt and they really need to work on that. You will get shot down, get over it.

In the end, I agree with #42. No matter what the race its all about what the girl likes. Some girls like being honked at and others like more than a comment about her ass. Different girls respond to different things.

First we don’t pay black women enough attention, and chase after white girls and the etc. Now we pay way too much attention. You love the attention girl. And I’m not speaking about the psycho guys out there do the crazy stuff I’m talking about on the block, where 9 out of 10 times the dudes are sane and you love the attention you get. Sometimes it is very hard to approach a woman on the street. When you are nice some of them give you an attitude. I dont feel women are very approachable in the street. They give off an ” I don’t want to be messed with” attitude. And I don’t think there is anything wrong with looking, thats the first thing anybody notices is how good looking someone or the nice body someone has. Everybody does it.
